all day and all night and everything he sees is just blue. Ace dye but stains like nobodys business
Gorgeous blue, exactly as it appears on the packet but looks particularly lovely in the sun. Its incredibly strong, a little goes a long way, much further than other similarly priced brands. It is in fact the best and brightest blue ive ever used. How I use it: I mix a tiny bit with manic panic yellow to create a super vibrant lime green and ive also mixed a tiny bit with directions flamingo pink in the past to create a cadbury purple. Its a bit tricky to get the right balance for colours because you need far less than youd think so add a tiny drop at a time for a hefty blob of the other colour and continue til youve got the shade you want. Works well as a pastelised shade but again you need a lot less than you think. How long it lasts: Be warned, if you want a temporary colour and NEED to return to natural or a shade that doesnt have any blue tones then this is NOT the dye for you. It will fade but it wont disappear and it will take a LOT of effort. Its great if you are sticking with blue or can be flexible in colour later, such as switching to green or purple or growing it out or if you are very very careful and dont do it frequently you may be able to bleach it out. I just get creative with my hair colour and where the blue sections are stick to purple green or blue until its long enough to cut out. A warning about staining: It stains EVERYTHING it touches immediately. Wear gloves or be prepared to scrub your hands and paint your nails to cover the weird tint. Dont get it on clothes or your bathroom floor/sink/tiles it may never come off. It will also take a while to come off your skin so use vaseline around your hairline, old clothes/towels and a dark pillowcase... just basically protect your whole house because everything will be blue forever. In summary: I get so many compliments on this dye and ive only ever bought two or three boxes because it goes so far. Its the best value blue ive tried despite other stargazer dyes honestly being a bit poop. I only ever buy stargazer blue now, tried this and another blue and wont swap despite the staining risk.

Best for blues!
I’ve been dying my hair blue for almost 10 years now and have tried almost every brand available, Stragazer royal blue is honestly the best and I use it every time! It’s not too dark and it takes a very long time to fade, it goes through all different shades of blue when fading, doesn’t turn green unless it’s left for a very very long time. I hadn’t recoloured my hair for 8 months due to a shoulder injury and the second picture is what the colour looked like (wet) before dying again (first pic) it had only just started to turn that awful green colour that most blue dyes leave you with after just a few washes!

Alright
Was OK. Used on my sisters hair. Didn't come out as blue as we expected and didn't last as long as we thought

Avoid if blonde and want temporary!
Colour was ok, we got blue. Within a week it was green, faded and were 6 weeks on, the dye is still faded green and won’t come out. Washed almost every day to remove. Will have to recolour to remove properly.

Not for dark hair
I was told this would be OK on dark un prelightened hair and was not. Apart from that was good value for money smelled nice and lasts well as it a semi perminant colour

Last really well
Not used this particular brand before, it has a slightly weird smell, but the colour has lasted really well on my (pre-lightened) hair.

Great colour deposit, but washes out to a neon.
They work very well on porous hair - so if I just did my roots, they do not adhere as well to my roots and ended up a slightly lighter colour than the rest. Can be diluted (I used conditioner), and at 1:6 colour to conditioner, Royal blue turned out a nice mermaid blue/aqua on my bleached platinum hair. The bottles are on the smaller side, but even on my long hair (mid-back), this works out to two applications per bottle, and unlike all the other brands I've tried, MOST of the colour ended up in my hair. It's very vibrant the first time it washes out. Subsequent washes get lighter each time and it gets neon/bright-ish. I haven't had a single brand of semi-permanent "unnatural" colour that sticks around for longer than this.
