ality Gift Without the Premium Price Tag
The action is incredibly smooth, the blade came razor sharp out of the box, and the G10 handle gives it a solid, comfortable grip without feeling bulky. It has a really clean, modern look that makes it feel like a much more expensive everyday carry knife. The D2 steel blade also seems like a great value at this price point since it holds an edge well and feels durable. Product specs highlight the D2 steel blade, G10 handle, and ceramic ball-bearing pivot, which definitely stand out when handling the knife. The size is perfect too—small enough for everyday carry but still substantial enough to feel useful for camping, opening boxes, or general daily tasks. The pocket clip is sturdy and keeps the knife secure without being hard to remove. The person I gave it to loved it immediately, and now I can see why CIVIVI has such a good reputation among knife fans. A lot of online users describe the Mini Praxis as one of the best budget knives available and praise how much quality it offers for around $30. For anyone looking for a practical gift that feels high-end without spending a fortune, this is an excellent choice.

Great EDC knife!
Great EDC knife. Fit and finish is superb. D2 steel is really sharp right out of the box. The G10 handles are comfortable and are not slippery. Quality coating on the blade. The blade flip back assist is extremely smooth. The inter-lock is very secure and the release is smooth. I have big hands and there are no hot spots while holding this knife. Great quality build. And at $30 the price is good too!

4.5/5 Stars: Excellent quality small EDC knife
An all-around excellent daily carry drop point flipper knife, that I just wish was a touch bigger. DESCRIPTION: The folded length is 3.75”/9.5cm, the open length is 6.75”/17.3cm and the blade length is a hair under 3”/7.3cm, of which 2.5”/6.4cm is the cutting edge, and there is a choil/finger groove. It is about 3/8”/0.9cm wide. The handle is a nicely checkered olive G10 and all metal is black. It has a pocket clip on one side only, but I do not use it, although it appears fairly sturdy. PROS: - Extremely well-made, better than a Chinese Boker or lower-end American-made Kershaw and Buck knives I own. Fit and finish is excellent, with no movement or wiggle in the blade and it is centered both opened and closed. - Extremely smooth opening, The press of my index finger on the flipper protruding slightly from the back of the handle, snaps the blade open quickly and smoothly, without the need for any wrist flick. - is a very handsome knife, aesthetically, pleasing in shape and design, and not something that would appear “dangerous” to non-knife people. - it is small and light enough that I typically do not notices it in the bottom of my front jeans pocket, but is sturdy enough for any reasonable use one might have for a smaller daily carry knife.. - Last but not least, the knife came very sharp, arm hair shaving sharp out of the box and has remained that way the several weeks I’ve been carrying it. I expect the D2 steel will hold an edge reasonably well, as it seems it has, and will sharpen decently. CONS: - The handle is slightly too small. I have pretty average size hands, typically wearing a men’s size large glove, and I find the handle a touch shorter than I would like unless I dangle my index finger onto the choil/finger cut out on the blade. If the handle was an extra quarter inch longer, this knife would be just about perfect. This is the reason I took off half a star in my rating. While I usually am not a fan of people lowering their ratings of a product because of a factor that was plain in the product description that they should’ve read before buying, in this case, I think a fair number of other men will have a similar opinion on how this knife fits their hands. Too bad Civivi doesn’t make a slightly larger medium size Praxis, as the full-size one looks to be a bit larger than I would like for daily carry. CONCLUSION: Despite the fact that the handle on this knife is a bit short for any prolonged or rougher use, I like it so much that it has been what I have been carrying most days since I bought it. It is an outstanding value for the $26, I paid for it. There are a number of fairly-highly rated Chinese knife brands out there that sell some slightly cheaper, pretty well regarded knives with similar specs, with G10 handles and D2 blades (allegedly), but I can’t imagine their quality level would be as high as this little Civivi. I absolutely do not “need” any more knives than the dozen or so I own, and I simply cannot justify complaining about my wife’s shoe collection, which is arguably more purposeful than a number of the additions to my knife collection. However, if I do find myself feeling lacking in willpower, I suspect the next knife I acquire will likely be another Civivi, probably a Damascus blade Elementum.

Fantastic EDC Folder
This is a fantastic, out-of-the-box sharp, perfectly sized knife for EDC. I have large paws, and to be honest, the original Praxis is a much better fit as far as ergonomics. I can fit all four fingers very comfortably around its handle. But now that I have had both, I can say that the mini is the most practical everyday carry of the two. It's a more compact, more pocketable, more everyday carry kind of size. The original Praxis is very nice as well, don't get me wrong. But for EDC, it just feels too big. To me the original is more of a work horse. I highly recommend this very well-made knife; it just checks most of my EDC boxes, and the quality is off the charts for only $30. This is really where it shines... ceramic bearings, 59-61 D2 steel, contoured G2 scales, and very nice ergonomics with the finger choil. The finger choil really makes this knife fit in your hand. 5-thousand stars. I really love the mini.

. Excellent Budget EDC – Sharp Out of the Box and Built Solid
I’m really impressed with this knife for the price. It came razor sharp right out of the box and was ready to go immediately. The build quality feels solid and well put together — no blade play, smooth action, and a sturdy lockup. It’s the perfect everyday carry size, easy to pocket but still substantial enough to handle real work. What I appreciate most is that it feels durable enough that I don’t hesitate to actually use it hard. It’s not a “baby it” knife — it’s a tool. For the money, this is an excellent EDC option. Definitely recommend.

Slicey and sized perfectly
I sharpen many knives for a side business, and I can tell you this D2 steel is high tier borderline premium and for this price, this knife is PHENOMENAL. Very slicey with the full grind, comes already very sharp, while being very easy to sharpen so for an everyday carry this is a 4.8 star knife. Now my ONLY ISSUE is, you can't change the clip, so you can only mount it on one side, one way. I typically carry my knife in my left pocket, and for this reason I'd dock it .2 star. I'll explain, if you're a left side carry (phone in right pocket, knife in left) the blade has a possibility of opening towards your meat and potatoes. I've experienced this before with other knives with a spring assisted opening and it freaks me out a little. However, if you carry it in your right pocket, if it accidently gets rubbed or pops open, it's trapped against the seam facing out. I really wish they'd just make this with an option to flip the clip to the other side, it would easily be the best selling knife of all time. The larger model has Nitro-V steel, if they could make THIS MODEL in the exact same size with nitro-v and charge another 15 bucks, it would also lean towards the best seller of all time. Some people want the better steel, but don't want to EDC a 3.75" blade. Size is perfect for an EDC, it's got nearly Zero play at the bearings, and it is perfectly centered when closed. Very sturdy. It would have also been cool if they made a small undergrind on the side opposite of the lock so that you could get your thumb in there a bit easier. I think I've about covered it all.

WOW! What a great value for this pocket knife
I will start by saying this: When it comes to pocket knives, I am quite particular. I have carried nicer Kershaw knives for the past 15 years, but every 3 to 5 years I have to send them in to get the spring assist replaced, or the tip of the blade will break off and bend quite easily. I was looking for a change of pace with my EDC knife so I bought, and returned, many others. I wanted a spring assist knife because being able to open my knife one handed is a must. I was hesitant at first to buy this knife, but the THOUSANDS of 5 star review pulled me in. They are not wrong! WOW this is a great knife! it opens easily one handed even though it is not spring assist. The pocket clip is extremely tight and will grip on to even the thinnest clothing, like sweat pants or running shorts. My only minor complaint is that I wish the body of the knife weighed a little more, so the wife was more balanced in the hand. However, that is such a minor complaint and that is not to be expected with a knife at this price point. I am literally comparing a sub $50 knife to others that are over twice the price. Overall, this knife is sharp out of the box, holds a sharp edge, it is easy to use and open, and you cannot beat this knife for the price!
