Anne of Green Gables: L.M. Montgomery (Puffin in Bloom)

I can't actually believe that I have never read Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery. I had started watching Anne with an E on Netflix and was really enjoying that, so I treated myself to a beautiful edition of the book. I really enjoyed this book and can see why it is a classic. Well written, beautiful characters, descriptions and plot line. Only one complaint I didn't like one part of the plot line (at the end, I won't say what as I don't want to spoil the ending) and was glad this didn't happen in the series.

Amazing! Anne of Green Gables is a classic and this cover just complements the story so well! Very beautiful and sturdy!

I am pleased with the delivery of the book. I am disappointed that it is not illustrated. I hope that the content will even defend it. The book was supposed to be a gift for a 9-year-old girl. Im not shure it's a good choice. We will see.

This cover is beautiful! Although, I must say that some of the pages do not include page numbers, which I find odd. I do think its just a printing error and it doesn't really affect the overall reading experience.

This book looks just lovely on the bookshelf. Making a collection of the Puffin in Bloom books for my daughter. They are hardback, and the overwork is beautiful.

Everything was shipped quickly and arrived in perfect condition. The edition itself is very beautiful; the illustration is true to the image on the website. It has vivid colors and the illustrative style is very creative. The book does have thin pages.

Essa edição do livro é linda, a capa é maravilhosa com o título brilhante, as folhas são daquelas bem fininhas (quase um jornal) que dão gosto de virar e a contracapa tem ilustrações que dão um toque extra de charme. Quanto ao Inglês, recomendo para quem tem Inglês avançado ou fluente. O vocabulário usado é compatível com a data da primeira versão do livro (1908) e, mesmo com inglês fluente, dei umas travadas em algumas palavras (que, pra falar a verdade, não sabia o que significavam em Português também). Eu li o livro antes de assistir à série na Netflix e, ansiosa pra ver a querida personagem Anne ganhar vida, acabei me desapontando com as viradas na história original que a série dá. O livro é leve e te deixa se sentindo leve também. Se você não gosta muito do drama da série, pula com tudo no livro que é completamente diferente. É um daqueles livros que fazem o tempo voar e mudam seu jeito de ver as coisas :)

Purchased this book for my granddaughter, sh was excited having heard from Mum and Granna about this beautiful book!

Arrived in perfect condition, and was super cheap to boot :)
