Learning Resources Soft Foam Cross-Section Earth Model

Very basic, not a lot of details not really educational

I bought this as an aid to our classroom project on Extreme Earth. It is a foam globe that opens up to show the different layer of the Earth. I have found it useful in explaining the structure of the earth to my junior school pupils. It is quite small but it still big enough that the children are able to identify the different layers. It is always good to have a visual aid in the classroom. I would recommend it!

Bought this for a primary school lesson on geology. Its good for that purpose but I have also drawn the plate boundaries on mine along with arrows to show relative directions of movement. Don't know why a structural model of the Earth isn't manufactured with those already marked on. Maybe some simple convection plumes shown in the mantle would improve it too.

J ai acheté ce produit pour ma fille de 5 ans, passionnée par les volcans. Elle a pu visisualiser d où viennent les roches qui forment la lave des volcans. La terre est faite dans une sorte de mousse, très agréable au toucher. Les caractéristiques des differentes couches sont en anglais.
