100% Merino Wool Base Layer Men Set - Thermal Underwear Mens + Hiking Socks

I have two of those in 250 and 320 grade and different shades of blue, so extremely happy to please my OCDs :D Really good fit - both in M fit me well with some room to spare, and I'm usually between S and M in common brands. Had them on on several hikes of various strain and length, and can't fault so far. Keeps me warm, dry and absorbs next to none of body or antiperspirant odour. Perfect buy for layering and honestly the top looks good on it's own if you really need to shed layers. So far they seem to be surviving washing without issues (wool liquids, wool mode, two spin cycles, dry flat on a towel on a rack) so fingers crossed for durability that it holds for a long while. In case you wonder, yes there is actually a weight difference between the grades :D If I recall right there was around 400g difference from 250 to 320 set when I weighted it. I might get one more set just in case for spares if it comes on a good discount :)

If you never tried merino base layer, you may not know what you are missing! The theory is that when wool is worn directly on the skin with cotton as the second layer, then the moisture migrates into the cotton layer straight through the wool making you feel dry and warm. It is a kind of feeling dry while wet effect. Merino wool is thin and gentle, does not bite, and stays odour-free for long. It is much thinner than usual sweaters and can be worn under a regular size shirt or jeans. This garment is true to size, and is stretchable horizontally, so it is likely to fit well. Its overall quality is quite good. I wore it during the recent blizzard, and it felt nice. The top looks good on its own and can be worn as the only layer for exercise, but they sell merino T-shirts for this. The fabric is not strong enough for wearing a backpack directly over it. It is a gentle fabric, so try to not stain it with eggs, fat, etc., because it can't tolerate strong detergents. Wool also dislikes bleach, high alkalinity substances, hot water (causes shrinking) and rubbing (causes felting). I usually minimise use of detergents, because wool is made of protein covered with fat (lanoline), and you may not want to de-grease that fat. So, just dip it in lukewarm water (25C), possibly with a small amount of wool detergent, or shampoo, or nothing, swish it a bit by hand, and then lay out flat to dry on a large towel. In a couple of hours hang it out, but not on a heater. It dries fast, quicker than cotton. Wool does not contain carbohydrates, like cellulose in cotton, which feed smelly bacteria. Healthy human sweat is composed of water-soluble compounds with added anti-bacterial substances, so washing wool is easy. I am using a merino T-shirt for in-doors exercise as well, but it is a different story.

Bought 2 of these. Followed the sizing guide. They don’t seem true to size. . When put on you could feel the cold. As if the material was been overstretched and opening the fabric up to let the cold draughty air in. So Returned these. And went up a size. Then Bought large, the next size up and now they are super comfy and warm, really love them. And they look good, and hug the body nicely looking to buy another one if they come down in the January sales

Good fit works well can't get the discount from the voucher they send in the packet it's only for US and Canada I did try and email no luck with getting any discount, they should tell you that in the add. Shame I would have got more from them 😕

This is second weight warmth and will be wonderful protection in the winter temperatures. These base layers retain body heat and are perfect. No more freezing in the winter. Allied with Merino socks and beanie I am well insulated and don’t need very heavy outer clothes. Will buy these base layers again.

I bought these with quality in mind and I was not disappointed. They are excellent in every way both warm and comfortable. Also with a free pair of merino wool socks as well.

Well made using good material, certainly as good as my other more expensive Merino wool base layer. Ordered large and it fits nicely and feels comfortable when hiking or working.

Have this for year now and used it extensively! They are durable and warm. Highly recommended! Excellent value for money.

Dopo circa 5 utilizzi intensi si è formato un piccolo buco nei pantaloni e si sono formati piccoli grumi di fibre sulla superficie. A prescindere da questo l'intimo termico acquistato (250 g/sm) riesce a mantenere calore anche in giornate molto fredde. Ha retto giornate di sci con clima a -15° con sopra solo pile e guscio (giacca e sovrapantalone in gore-tex a 3 strati senza imbottitura). Comunque un ottimo prodotto qualità / prezzo.

Im Oktober diesen Jahres bin ich 10 Tage zum Wandern nach Norwegen gefahren. Da zu dieser Jahreszeit die Temperaturen dort ziemlich schwanken können (von 2° - 15°) wollte ich mir sicherheitshalber zu meinen ohnehin 34 Pullovern und 112 Jacken zusätzlich noch eine Thermounterwäsche zulegen. Ich habe in der Vergangenheit schonmal welche besessen, jedoch waren das so Billigteile, die eher nach kurzer Zeit ein in sich geschlossenes Ökosystem beherbergten. Nach Recherche und Empfehlungen bin ich auf Merinowolle gestoßen und dachte mir, trotz des vergleichsweise hohen Preis, probier ich mal aus. - Lieferung: Die Ware kam schnell, unbeschädigt und überraschend geruchsneutral bei mir an. - Qualität: Was mir des Öfteren schon nahegelegt wurde, ist, wie sich das Material anfühlt. Dem kann ich nur zustimmen. Ich persönlich empfinde das Material sehr angenehm zu tragen, sodass ich auch darin schlafen würde. Es kratzt nicht und fühlt sich schön weich an. Die Größe passt auch perfekt. (Männlich, 175cm, 78kg, Größe M) - Funktion: Offensichtlich habe ich mir die Unterwäsche gekauft, um nicht ganz so schnell zu frieren, falls es doch mal kälter werden sollte. An fast allen Tagen habe ich sie getragen und war positiv überrascht. Das Material hält gut warm, so dass ich stellenweise leicht angefangen habe zu schwitzen (Ca. 8°, leicht windig, mittlere Wanderroute, Thermounterwäsche+Jogginghose+Sportshirt kurz+Trainingsjacke+ wie üblich, viel zu schwerer Rucksack) und ist dabei nichtmal feucht geworden. Andere haben sich nach einer Weile echt widerlich angefühlt, wenn man was verschwitz feuchtes an einem kalten Tag anhat. Heißt, Atmungsaktivität ist definitiv vorhanden. Ein weiterer positiver Nebeneffekt, ist die langanhaltende Geruchsneutralität. Wir haben zwar überwiegend in Apartments mit Waschmaschinen genächtigt, jedoch konnten wir zeitlich bedingt nur einmal waschen, was zu meinem Glück auch für die Thermounterwäsche gereicht hat. (Trotz fast täglichen Tragens und Schwitzens) - Fazit: Wenn man was Vernünftiges haben will, lohnt es sich etwas tiefer in den Geldbeutel zu greifen. Ob und wie gut andere Hersteller sind, kann ich leider nicht sagen, da dies bisher mein erster Kauf von Merinowolle war. Mit diesem bin ich jedoch zu 100 % zufrieden. Klare Kaufempfehlung!

Completo termico in lana merino pensato per tenere caldo: ottimo isolamento e buona gestione dell’umidità, ideale per inverno e attività all’aperto. Punti da controllare: vestibilità e taglia (meglio guardare bene la tabella), e lavaggio (seguire istruzioni per non infeltrire). Se la pelle è molto sensibile, la merino di solito è ok, ma può variare da persona a persona. In generale buon rapporto comfort/calore.

I’m quite impressed with this! Very soft and I really like certain accents like the way that the cuffs on the pants and the sleeves taper down to retain some heat better but to fit well either way gloves/boots, to make sure it isn’t in your way, just draped very nicely. The fit is snug, but not tight or restricting at all, and the merino socks are very nice. I’d say overall this isn’t the softest merino wool I’ve ever felt, other luxury dress brand fabrics are softer, but not they aren’t trying to do what this is trying to do, I’m comparing fashion to this technical, earth focused, based layer. And I think it’s soft enough for continued use without any irritation. I cut all the tags off and have gone on two 1.5 hour winter hikes in Canada and have been super comfortable. So far no odour, been great, and I even am enjoying wearing then around the house. Great buy especially for the money!
