I was repairing an appliance at home when I discovered that it required an unusually long slotted screwdriver to access a few of the assembly screws that were in recessed "screw tunnels". I thought about buying a single long screwdriver but all I could find had wide slot ends that would not fit. Finally, after some searching I came across the NEIKO extra-long bit set, and it turned out to be exactly what I needed. Both the Phillps and slotted bits feel like they are good quality, and the slotted tips are not oversized at the ends so they can slide through deeper screw tunnels without any issues. The hex ends fit perfectly into my bit driver (both powered and manual handles) and the included carrying case is a nice touch. All in all a good product, and a good addition to my toolbox.

I'm trying to install a support bracket underneath a fixed shelf to correct bowing. It's a tight space--the top screw hole of the bracket has less than an inch of clearance. So, my rechargeable screwdriver doesn't fit in the space. I changed to a manual screwdriver, but to get my hand in the space I had to hold the driver at an angle. This meant the ordinary short screwdriver bit was also at an angle, which resulted in chewing up the slot and making a big project out of a small one. So, I ordered these extra-long bits and couldn't be happier with them. They allow me to position the screwdriver just beyond the shelf, so I can hold the driver and thus the bit normally with respect to the screw head. This prevents damage to the screw head and makes everything 100% easier.

I bought these on speculation--without having a specific need--because some other Neiko driver bits I bought previously Neiko 10224A Extra Long Security Power Bit Set, 32 Piece | 1/4" Shank | 6" Length were made so well, came in so handy, and so reasonably priced. Within a few weeks of these extra-long bits arriving the situation arose where they were the perfect tool to reach a screw is an almost impossible to reach location. The uploaded photo shows a situation where there was little clearance to drive screws using shorter bits. Definitely worth having on hand!

I needed a long shaft phillips head for changing the batter in a power supply. My standard 1/4 shaft bit would not fit all the way into the recess. These bits had the advantage of a slimmer profile as the hex shaft did not extend the full length of the bit. I was not sure what size I needed so the multiple options of Phillips head #'s 1,2,& 3 was a real bonus. I have not tested the "durability" or "sturdiness" factors so much. They do look like your standard inexpensive bit material so I gave it a midrange on those too ratings. I am happy with my purchase and it accomplished the task without spending 10 per screwdriver to find out what size screw was lurking at the bottom of a six inch tube on my 500W omni1000lcd UPS. For those who might also want to know this info it was a #1 phillips head. :))

Wife uses these in upholstery work. They meet the need.

These are brilliant. We got these to work on a set of 4 inline carburettors on an old Honda motorcycle, and it reaches all the way to the furthest carb.
