On a different note, I still highly recommend it. I love the writing, the story. I got hyped when I found out her secret and cried when I needed to and then got hyped at the end again. I did struggle to picture Kai though, scholarly and nerdy. Sleeper build? Idk. Also I love the cultures. Everybody is TANNED thou lol Review: British men ❤️ - I just loved the storyline to this book and the chemistry the characters had together it was a amazing read for me 🥹💛

A Supportive Relationship!
Ana Huang’s King of Pride is an absolute standout in the billionaire romance genre, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with how this story unfolds. Kai Young is easily one of my favorite main male characters. His reserved, composed personality is such a refreshing contrast to Isabella's bold, vibrant energy. Kai’s quiet strength and his commitment to order and control make him all the more intriguing, especially when paired with Isabella’s zest for life and unpredictable nature. Their chemistry is off the charts, but what truly sets this book apart is the depth of their emotional connection. The relationship between Kai and Isabella is hands down one of the healthiest and most mutually supportive I’ve ever seen in a romance novel. Unlike many stories where drama or misunderstandings drive the plot, King of Pride focuses on a relationship where both characters bring out the best in each other. Isabella’s spirited, impulsive personality doesn’t diminish Kai’s composed nature; instead, they learn from one another and grow in ways that feel realistic and deeply satisfying. The balance between them is perfect—Kai grounds Isabella when needed, and she helps him see the value of spontaneity and stepping out of his comfort zone. They complement each other beautifully. What I love most is that their relationship is built on trust, respect, and a genuine desire to support each other. They communicate, they listen, and they genuinely care about each other’s growth, both individually and as a couple. This kind of healthy, evolving relationship is rare to find in romance novels, and Ana Huang handles it with such care and authenticity. Beyond the romance, the story is filled with tension, humor, and passion, making it impossible to put down. Whether you're a fan of the billionaire trope or just looking for a romance that highlights a strong, supportive relationship, King of Pride delivers it all. Highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys well-developed characters and a love story that feels as real as it is fiery!

it was ok. I didn’t feel much of a connection with the characters.
The story was fine and it was written well. The characters were just ok, I personally didn’t feel much of a connection with them. I liked the idea of each character they just felt a little flat for me. They had issues/hangups and we got some background but there really wasn’t a reason for the specific issues that carried the story. Kia felt like he had to win at everything…why? We got some history about his mom and her being controlling, but why was he so concerned with winning everything. And Isabelle lacked self confidence and chose to self sabotage instead of putting herself out there. But why? I didn’t see a reason in her backstory as to why she was the way she was. Her family seemed loving and for the most part understanding. I guess if I’m gonna spend 400+ pages reading about a girl who never finishes anything and then only makes a change in the last 50 pages I would like a reason for the issue that took up so much of the story. Plus in the end she wasn’t even the one to make an effort to over come that issue, Kia put her out there. Kind of a let down. Did she grow…I guess, but it wasn’t like we got to watch her make the effort to get there. We spent a lot of time reading about her internalizing her problem, but there wasn’t any real payoff in her overcoming it bc Kia put her out there and then poof she had an epiphany and everything was all better. Meh. The breakup was just off, I rolled my eyes through most of it. It didn’t feel like it fit, it was like the author just wanted to add another layer of drama, but it wasn’t seamless, it felt forced. Once I got half way through the book I found myself scrolling past large portions and only reading what was in quotations. I hope the next one is better. And yes I will read it bc I do enjoy her writing, this one just didn’t hit for me.

ARC REVIEW King of Pride is the second book of The Kings of Sin series, and Ana Huang showed one more time the brilliant author she is. Ana has an amazing writing, it's fluid, cohesive and coherent. I devoured the book in one day and felt completely in love with Kai and Isabella. King of Pride narrative was very good, all of the aspects of the story was very well developed. I felt in love with Isabella in King of Wrath, and I so curious to know more about her. And reading King of Pride, I felt in love even more with her. She was such a good character, she is so funny and lovely at the same time. Her individual development was very well built. I loved everything about her. And her relationship with Vivian and Sloane was very amazing, I love their friendship. I was so intrigued with Kai in God of Wrath and I curious about him. So I was very excited to know more and more about him. And reading his thoughts, his feelings and everything about him, I felt completely in love with him too. I loved how Ana developed his thoughts and his feelings, his individual development was very well developed. He became one of my favourite male characters from Ana. Kai and Isabella relationship was everything, their chemistry was over the moon. They had so much chemistry, and the aspects of the forbidden love was very well built, that it was totally impossible not to be completely in love with them. Kai and Isabella love each other with a great passion, I loved all of their scenes. They are different, but they complete each other at the same time.

She’s chaos personified and he’s a straitlaced perfectionist. Kai is preparing for the CEO vote that’ll determine his future at the family company and doesn’t have time for distractions. But she’s everywhere and he can’t seem to stay away even if it could cost him everything. If is wasn’t clear this is a steamy opposites attract billionaire romance, quite similar to Huangs other books in that way. But in other ways not so much, the MMC isn’t as prone to violence not even blackmail which is a nice change of pace. Isabella works at the Valhalla club so her job security is also on the line, employee and member fraternization is strictly forbidden. The first 3/4 of the book is amazing imo, super entertaining, I love the characters and they’re really good at communicating. But then there is a conflict, no spoilers but i didn’t like it. Also Isabella’s secrets were a bit anticlimactic, they didn’t really add anything to the story in the end. I might be in the minority but I prefer this to King of wrath and can’t wait to continue the series!
