GARDEBRUK® Wheelbarrow Wheel Replacement 15' Solid PU Rubber Tyre, Yellow

This has just got to be worth the money! After suffering several punctures necessitating repairs or replacement, this wheel and tyre are an answer to prayer. I had to pack out the spindle with several washers in order to accommodate by barrow frame, but that was no problem. A really good purchase!

Amazon tells me I bought this wheel on 21st July 2016. It's now 11th July 2025. The previous wheelbarrow rusted away and fell apart around this wheel. The tyre on the replacement wheelbarrow from Travis Perkins is already flat after 3 months and I'm thankful I kept this wheel as I've now retro fitted it onto the Travis Perkins wheelbarrow and I suspect it will outlast that wheelbarrow as well!.

A good quality solid tyre, arrived in very good time. However when the time came to fit the new wheel, there was a big difference in the spindle housing width between the old, original wheel coming off and this new 'Yellow' wheel going on. I had to add 1 cm of washers to either side to fill the space before securely fitting the new wheel.

My barrows are very prone to punctures (and degradation of rubber tyres) so I am pleased with this replacement for one of them; I had to drill out the barrow wheel mount slightly to accommodate the bolt. The wheel is a little narrower and of course harder than usual wheels so digs into soft ground if heavily laden and less shock absorbing on hard ground.. but it will save hours on puncture repairs. I shall stick to pneumatic on my other 2 barrows.

After ordering 2 wheels of the wrong size, this superb replacement wheel is exactly what I wanted and arrived on my birthday.

Replacement for a tubeless tyre that would not hold the air. Good solid tyre that should last. Not as much give as a pneumatic tyre though.

Wheel seems fine, but the axle sleeve, nut and washers are badly corroded. The sleeve is useable, but the washers are unusable, so have had to buy new ones Also no spacers provided

Bought 2 lots of these for my 2 wheel barrows. Both got punctures on garden. These foams tyres are a little hard but if your garden has a thorny hedge like mine, you run the risk of punctures. Not any more though. Really happy.

Ottima ruota che ti solleva la paura di forare durante l'utilizzo essendo in schiuma poliuretanica che al tatto si sente che è di ottima qualità, non solo la gomma ma anche il cerchione che in acciaio verniciato. Per quanto riguardo il montaggio bisogna avere molta esperienza, partendo dal presupposto che a quasi tutte le carriole sembrerà che il perno sia di dimensioni piccole tant'è vero che il mio foro per alloggiare il perno era di quasi 20 cm il che rendeva impossibile utilizzare tale perno. Ma per chi ha come me molta esperienza sembrerà un gioco da ragazzi. Infatti per montarla ho utilizzato uno stringente da falegname in metallo e una pinza. In che modo è possibile in serire tale perno in un foro lungo 20 cm ? Basta tener a mente che la maggior parte delle carriole sono in acciaio zincato il che li rende un po fragili alle sollecitazioni meccaniche ma molto plasmabili. In questo modo ho fatto si che il perno sia lungo 3 cm in più di quel che serviva. Dopo un pò la ruota compreso il perno è entrata alla perfezione ciò lo verificato mettendola alla prova trasportando una carriola piena di terra, ed esso si muoveva in modo molto fluido quasi come una macchina. Tant'è che vi faccio tenere a mente che il perno ha le dimensioni perfette per la ruota in modo che essi non traballi durante il cammino. In conclusione consiglio vivamente tale ruota dotata di perno per le sua qualità e resistenza ma cui serve molta esperienza nel montaggio.

La roue de brouette semble de bonne qualité, montage intuitif même si un croquis explicatif n'aurait pas été inutile. Je ne comprends pas pourquoi l'axe fourni est en 16mm alors que celui de la roue est en 20mm. J'ai dû employer l'axe existant de la vieille roue pour qu'il n'y ait pas de jeux. C'est pour cette raison que je ne mets que 3 étoiles.

Nach dem dritten platten Reifen war für mich Schluss mit lustig. Ich habe auf Vollgummi umgerüstet – und seitdem gilt: Jetzt hält mich nichts mehr auf. Weder rostiger Stacheldraht, noch versteckte Glasscherben, noch stachelbewehrte armenische Brombeeren können diesem Reifen etwas anhaben. Plattfahren? Nicht mehr. Montage: Die Montage hat keine 5 Minuten gedauert und war völlig problemlos. Kein Gefummel, kein Fluchen, kein Spezialwerkzeug. Farbe & Optik (ehrlich): Ja, die Farbe ist gewöhnungsbedürftig. Aber die Spötter verstummen schnell, wenn sie selber mal wieder flicken dürfen. Ich persönlich finde meine Schubkarre inzwischen sogar hübscher als vorher. Fahrgefühl & Dämpfung: Ein oft genannter Kritikpunkt: Ein Vollgummireifen würde nicht so schön federn wie ein Luftreifen. Stimmt. Punkt. Aber: Ich will mit meiner Schubkarre nicht bei Paris–Dakar antreten und auch nicht mitfahren. Das Gefühl, dass nichts diesen Reifen klein kriegt, egal wo ich langfahre, ist mir deutlich wichtiger als ein bisschen Komfort. Praxis: keine Luft mehr prüfen kein Pumpen kein Flicken kein Ärger Einsteigen, laden, fahren. Fertig. Langzeiterfahrung / Update Update 2021: Nach fast 7 Jahren im härtesten Dauereinsatz: Die Schubkarre war inzwischen an allen Ecken und Enden gebrochen, der Reifen aber nach wie vor tadellos in Form. Plan: Reifen kommt auf die nächste Karre. Update 2025: Schubkarre endgültig tot. Der Reifen? Immer noch tadellos. Hat den Originalreifen der neuen Karre sofort ersetzt. Einordnung Das ist kein Spielzeug, kein Gimmick, kein Lifestyleprodukt – das ist Arbeitshardware. Wer viel fährt, viel lädt, viel durchs Gestrüpp, über Schrott, durch Baustellen, Hof, Wald und Garten muss, der weiß: Platte Reifen sind Zeitdiebstahl. Dieser hier macht damit Schluss. Fazit Unplattbar, wartungsfrei, robust – und inzwischen über ein Jahrzehnt bewährt. Komfortverlust? Ja, minimal. Nervenersparniss Massiv. Für Vielfahrer eine klare Empfehlung. 5 Sterne.

L'unico appunto che posso fare a questa ruota è che il perno fornito non ha un bullone passante ma solo due bulloni corti alle estremità, oltretutto piuttosto teneri. Uno si è sfilettato subito e l'ho sostituito con un bullone delle stesse dimensioni ma più duro. Per fortuna non si è sfilettata la sede del perno altrimenti l'avrei dovuta rifilettare. Consiglio al costruttore di mettere un bullone passante, sarebbe tutto più robusto. In ogni caso ci ho subito spostato dei sovraccarichi (oltre cento chili di peso) che sono stati retti benissimo. Consigliatissima.
