I don't know about bedclothes because I used it in the kitchen...but once lit you need to seal the room (ie. Close windows and doors) and leave it for a minimum of two hours or ideally overnight. I did it overnight and in the morning all the smoke is gone, there is no residue but there is an odd (not unpleasant) burnt smell. Our cat didn't like the smell and didn't enter the room until it dissipated. I left kitchen towels in the room during the process and they weren't damaged or toxic so I assume your soft furnishings will probably be fine but refer to the manufacturers guidelines. You need three applications spaced out 5-7 days apart.

Hi JAMLAM,Fumigation is classed as a reactive measure, smoke bombs will fill the volume of a room with an insecticidal smoke, killing insects at surface level during the time of treatment. However it holds no residual value, once the room has been ventilated the effects of the fumigation will end. This being the case, as you are just looking for a holiday measure and not part of a full treatment process you will be better opting for the Formula P Fogger. The Foggers will give you a level of flexibility that the smoke bombs will not, you can use them as a fumigator by pressing down the total release valve, or by pressing the trigger lightly you can release short bursts and treat the Fogger as a contact spray. In all likely hood if you are holidaying in an area prone to large insect populations, fumigation will kill anything present during the time of treatment, but its lack of residual value will mean that the following day new insects could enter into the area.
