Makin's Clay Pistol, Set of 1, Multi-Colour

I'm so disappointed. This worked twice and then faltered. Despite trying everything I couldn't get the damn thing to turn properly. It seems like with the pressure required to push the clay through, the thread has gotten damaged and now the top screw attachment is fixed and won't budge either way. I can understand this happening after regular use, but I only used it twice (the clay was softened too.) I was so looking forward to using this and to have it fall apart after a couple of goes is very disheartening indeed. Don't waste your precious money.

I bought this thinking it would last longer than the ‘syringe’ style hand held clay extruders I’ve bought in the past. This clay pistol is over twice the price of the ones I’ve bought previously. It seemed robust and I used it five or six times with smooth soft clay. It’s no longer working with the thread no longer allowing the parts to screw up & down. Really disappointed as it was a waste of money. I’ll go back to the cheaper versions that tend to last 12 months minimum.

Wish I could give this no star. It's so difficult to use,.. I've just given up on it. Using it for cake decorating. Doesn't matter how soft the fondant is when you put it in, its so hard to turn and squeeze out what you need. Maybe it was made for Hulk Hogan to use. Waste of money. I do not recommend.

What a clever item. It was great making the strips of twine for my husbands birthday cake and can't believe I've never come across something like this before. I've only used it for the strips of twine which I then made into rope with fondant. SO looking forward to trying out some new ideas with the other attachments.

It’s ok quality does the job but it’s got discolored after putting it on the dishwasher so I give 3 stars cuz it needs to be hand washed and not easy to clean

I use this as a sugarpaste extruder. I find that as long as I coat the roll of sugarpaste with vegetable fat, it works very well. Overall, I’m very pleased. Delivered on date expected.

Brilliant. Lovely little device. Ordered from the states, so naturally a slightly longer delivery time, but it arrived well packaged in pristine condition. I have used two of the settings already and the results are lovely. You do need to clean it immediately after use or the clay will become hardened, but this takes seconds - certainly much less time than it would take to achieve the kind of results it offers by hand. Very happy with my purchase.

Wow how did I ever get on before with the old straight push extruder? This is a thoroughly professional tool that does not need superman to operate it. The screw down works sooooo easily and it is a dream to clean up afterwards. Don't waste your money buying the other cheaper types. And the price / service was spot on.
