WHITIN Women's Wide Minimalist Barefoot Shoes W85

I have had these Whitin shoes for over a month now. I’ve had prior injuries on both my knees and have always been an unbalanced or clumsy person, tripping often. I am so impressed with these shoes, I’ve been telling all my friends. My knees don’t experience the pain walking up and down my stairs. I walk my dog every morning and don’t fear falling. In fact, my dog has crossed in front of me many times, and I was able to recover my balance. Love the wide toe box. People have commented me on how they look. I even now wear these shoes inside my house, instead of slippers. Tossed them in the washer this week and dried them outside in the sun and they look brand new. I bought them in preparation for a trip where the streets have cobblestones. So I’ve been testing them on the landscaping rocks at home and even though the sole is thin, I do not feel the rocks.

Edit: Still love my shoes BUT ordered a second pair for my wife and realized someone messed up. The initial pair I received were size 38 model w63. LOVE them. They hug the arches a little and have a nice bit of cushion so I think they're excellent for transitioning to zero drop. Also- the toe box is just wide enough without looking clowny. The w85s definitely have a notable toe box. Also the 7 in w85 is too short for my feet. My toes touch the end. That said my wife loves her w85s. We've tried other more expensive brands and whitin is our favorite. We each ordered a few pairs. Original: These shoes are great. I wanted to try zero drop shoes without splurging $200. These are comfortable, soft, flexible, fit is true. I usually wear a 7. The 7 felt big at first but then I realized my toe was right where it needed to be, I just wasn't used to such a roomy toe box. I started slow, just under an hour a day then increased to 2 hours/day. I felt some tenderness in my inner calves by the 2nd or 3rd day. Now that I'm in my second week, no more calf tenderness. My low back pain is gone.

The only shoes for my aching feet. Walked many cobblestone streets with ease. The width accomodates my recent foot surgery. I use a metatarsal support inside.

I’ve been a runner off and on for about 15 years. I have extremely wide feet, low ankles and low arches. My biggest caveat with so many wider fit shoes is the assumption that: - low arches are fallen arches - people with these feet over pronate … this isn’t my case. Because I have naturally low arches, I tend to be mostly neutral w/ a slight inclination toward supination and those higher in-step stabilizing shoes just end up killing my knees. I’m usually left having to decide between scrunched toes or knee pain - either way, it ends up with me just simply not running to avoid lasting injuries to my joints This is why I’m drawn to minimalist, zero drop shoes (they also help me correct my natural heel striking and reinforce landing my mg mid foot). My favorites have been Altras but they’ve more recently pivoted to stacked, plushy soles which is super frustrating because those also aren’t great for me. When I found these and read reviews, I was pretty psyched but also weary. When I tried them on? I ate my words. Not only are they EXACTLY what I was looking for, they also reminded me of the original shoe that made me love a zero drop knit shoe - which was the original Nike flyknits (from about 10 years ago). Unlike a lot of “knit” shoes, which are usually made with a harder + scratchier material, these are so soft - but also make the sides of my feet feel just the right amount of supported (the sides of the soles go up just the tiniest bit to help) and allow my toes to spread and wiggle with ease. They a little bit of padding in the back of the ankle too. These are also a PERFECT for cross training and weight lifting as well! I’ve done about 5 miles in them so far and while I have a little bit of foot fatigue, I think it’s only because I had to get plushier soled shoes which decreased the staminaI had built previously. Overall, really great and I’m excited to try out their canvas line for casual Street wear. I truly hope they don’t mess with the construction on these. Don’t fix what isn’t broken!!!! *** The *only* reason I dropped a star is I found them to be a little bigger than what was advertised by the measurements and wished I hadn’t sized up a 1/2 size from my usual 8.5. Will update as I put more miles on them.

These are definitely great for balance....I've worn memory foam shoes for 40 years due to planters fasciitis ...it helped but now balance is the bigger issue...it took time for my feet and legs to get use to no foam insoles but these are great for balance...I started with Nike no foam but these are better for the entire foot...I recommend these....my only complaint is my feet are sweating on the bottom wearing these but I need to try socks..lol...it's still summer here...

Absolutely the best intro into wearing barefoot shoes (and I’ve tried a lot of other brands). Pro tip – take out the removable thin insole that they come with – and add a Dr. Scholl's® Float-On-Air® Comfort Trim-to-Fit Insole (also available on Amazon) – this will give you just a little cushion and you’ll still have all the benefits of the zero-drop profile and wide toe box that these shoes offer. I have been wearing this style for well over a year and all my foot pain is GONE. Highly recommend.

I purchased these shoes for weight lifting. I wanted something that was flat (zero-ish drop), not too cushy, and has plenty of room in the toebox. They are shipped in a shrink-wrapped plastic bag. At first, I was like 🤔, but actually this is a good idea - less weight, less waste. When I first opened them up, my first reaction was CLOWN SHOWS! 🤡 The toe boxes are big, and they look kinda goofy. But once I put them on, they really don't look silly at all - simple and sleek. The quality is surprisingly good. The materials seem as durable as you'd expect for a pair of cheap shoes in this range, and all of the stitching seemed pretty good too. The dealbreaker is the design. The pleather lacing side straps are pretty stiff. When I bend my foot deeply, the top of it digs right into the crease of my big toe. I already hate lunges enough, I don't need to be saying "ouch" because my back foot is being pinched every time I lunge!! It's possible this might soften up over time, but I could tell from wearing these for 2 minutes that it wouldn't happen before I got a big blister. So, back they go, and the search continues.

I like these shoes and I wanted some solid black zero shoes so in that regard, these shoes gave me exactly what I wanted. One thing to note, like another reviewer stated, the tongue does not move. It is basically attached to the shoe so you can't lift it up to put the shoe on. There is stretch to it so it comes up a little. For some people this might be a real deal breaker. For me it's just a slight inconvenience so I can live with it. One thing that is both good and bad, you definitely get a wide toe box. I like that except it does tend to make the shoe on my foot look like a big clown shoe. Oh well, I guess it's worth it for the comfort.

The shoe has wide toe box and a minimalist sole which makes it comfortable to walk in without cramming your toes. However the packing has made me wonder if the product is original. As you can see in the image, the shoes were crammed into a cardboard box without any original brand packaging or invoice. There was nothing to hold the shape or secure it. Non-branded ₹500 shoes have a better packaging than this. You expect better when you spend 8k for a pair of shoes.

I got this for my mom because she's been having some pain in her foot. She wears it daily now.

Love these! So comfortable. Just enough support, but room for toes to spread and a flexible sole. These are my second pair. First are in the light khaki colour. Wanted black for versatility. They are great for the airport in that you don't have untie and retie them. They just slip on and off. For the price I don't think they can be beat!

My wife has corns and needs a wide toe box for comfort. These work perfectly and she is very happy. She normally wears a six but found that in these the 5.5 were the perfect fit. Would buy again.
