Villa d 'Este Calamoresca Set of 18 Service Plates Colourful Stoneware

I fell in love with this dinner set the moment I saw it, there were only a few left when I ordered so I kept my fingers crossed that all would be well. The box came inside a box which had polystyrene cubes all round it, and that was inside a bigger box which was Amazon's idea of protection for any delicate item, i.e., padding paper round four sides of the box, but none underneath or above! If the middle box hadn't been there, I wouldn't have been in the least surprised if something had been broken. This is a lovely colourful set, not to everyone's taste, but definitely to mine!

This is the first time I have ever been excited by plates and bowls! The colours and designs are beautiful and really brighten up the kitchen. Good quality and no breakages in mine at all. Am thinking of getting another set just in case I break any!

Ok, so here's the deal, 5 Stars for design, however quality about a 3... I have been coveting this set for some time, I absolutely loved the colours and designs on the plates, however I was a little hesitant with regards to all the broken plates, nevertheless I took the plunge, as I couldn't resist. The colours and designs are vibrant, fun and really interesting to look at, the table will look amazing when it's set properly, my only reservation is the quality. Sadly many of the plates have imperfections, some quite noticeable, some have holes in the glazing and lumps and bumps in the clay itself. So quality control of this product appears to be quite poor. I can't be hassled with returning and waiting to see if another has a perfect finish, I'm guessing they will all be of similar quality, the packaging was also poor, how it arrived unscathed is beyond me, all the boxes were torn, ripped and damaged, even the internal Ville d'este box was badly damaged, so lucky it's for personal use and not a gift as the quality of the boxing looks terrible, and I would be reluctant to gift it in the condition it arrived. All that sad, quality aside, if you can put up with the imperfections and overlook the flaws in the finish of the dinner set like I have, you will be pleasantly surprised with a beautifully, vibrant dinner set to liven up the dinner table, inside or out. I will update as to how long it lasts, and if the imperfections create any issues long term. I purchased the raffia placemats from Ville d'este, and the large charger plates, along with the rainbow glasses, as the Calamoresca glass set was not a match for some reason. Am yet to seek out the matching cutlery set, they a few on Amazon but non of them are the match for this set. So overall a 4, was hoping it would be a 5 star all round. I've added some images, but I'm not sure how well the imperfections are showing up, sadly every single item in the dinner set has some degree of imperfection that is noticeable, so much so that if I saw this in a shop I would guess it to be a second. Price wise I would expect to pay only about £25 for the quality, at the most, the list price or rrp is not worth it.

I bought these to use as a 'special set' for guests. I absolutely love them. But it's important to know that they're not for every day use, as they chip very easily. I already knew this when I bought them as this was my second set, so I hand wash and dry them carefully. I love them though, but definitely not an every day set.

As others have found, first set included one broken dinner plate. Return process was simple, 2 days later the replacement set arrived in perfect condition. Really nice set - good quality, vibrant colours and great for a matching mismatch kind of dining look! Recommend seller and product 😊

Ordered these to brighten up the dinner service and have been very happy since they arrived. After a month no chips or issues in dishwasher and colours still fresh. These make us smile every time we eat off them and highly recommend if you want to put some zing in your dinner service!

I love these they are beautiful but had them for 2 months and the colours have chipped slightly on one of the plates and there was a black spot on one of the bowls. I did try to resolve this with the seller but no reply. For the price I would have expected better

Really happy with these plates and bowels - very bright and cheerful and can't make my mind up which design I love the most! Have been using these for a while and use dishwasher and the colours are still vibrant.

Piatti in ceramica smaltata con 6 fantasie e colori differenti: L’aspetto è complessivamente solido, i piatti da frutta hanno la stessa fantasia di quelli piani, i piatti fondi sono tinta unita come da immagine. Visti “dal vivo” le fantasie sono state una sorpresa: brillanti e colorate, quasi più belle che in foto. L’imballaggio è stato ottimo ed il prodotto è arrivato perfettamente integro (nonostante questo fosse il motivo che più mi preoccupava..anche se nel caso di rotture avrei potuto chiedere la sostituzione..per fortuna non c’è stato bisogno). La fantasia li rende molto versatili: possono essere utilizzati sia come piatti “da tutti i giorni” (come nel mio caso) data la buona fattura e resistenza..ma anche servire per ospiti data la particolarità de disegno.

Wir lieben das Geschirr und jeder, der zu Besuch war, fragt, wo man das bekommt. Es macht richtig gute Laune, und die Farben sind TOP. Es kam ohne Macken an, wirkt stabil und wertig und hat auch bisher seit rund einem Monat tägliche Spülmaschinengänge ohne Farbverluste überstanden, da scheint sich nichts zu verändern. Wir sind total begeistert !

La vajilla es preciosa y me encanta, me la compré con mucha ilusión y muchas ganas de tener justo ésta. La desilusión total ha sido descubrir que uno de los platos Llanos ha llegado partido por la mitad. Antes de devolverla espero que me den alguna solución, cambiar ese plato en concreto porque devolver ahora toda la vajilla me supone un "follon". Es una pena ya que el resto de la vajilla está en perfectas condiciones. A pesar de que viene muy bien embalada me doy cuenta de que nunca se tiene el suficiente cuidado con este tipo de productos. Supongo que he tenido mala suerte. Ya no estoy muy segura de volver a comprar cosas así por Internet, justo por el miedo a que lleguen rotas. A pesar de todo esto recomiendo su compra pues es una preciosidad, muy vistosa y alegre, de gran capacidad todos los platos, los de postre tienen su tamaño ideal. Se ve de buena calidad y pesa bastante, no le doy 5 estrellas a todo porque me ha llegado un plato roto y espero que el vendedor me de algún tipo de solución sin tener que devolverla.

j'ai acheté cet ensemble pour ma soeur, pour ses 40 ans. Après un premier envoi avec de la casse, amazon a géré un retour très rapide et un renvoi des produits, réceptionnés 2 jours après. les assiettes sont dans un style boheme, coloré, de bonnes tailles, et je trouve, assez qualitatives. je pense qu'il faut éviter le lave vaisselle, ma soeur est ravie, c'était le but!

Diciotto piccole opere d'arte che rubano la scena al cibo che incorniciano. L'eleganza non banale dei decori e la ricercatezza negli abbinamenti cromatici rendono questi piatti unici. Il rapporto qualità prezzo è ottimo. Dò 5 stelle anche se la prima volta mi è arrivato un piattino rotto: il servizio clienti di Amazon è stato davvero efficiente e gentile ed il problema si è subito risolto.
