Bentley's Dried Sprats, Bulk Buy, Dried Fish BARF Diet (1 Kilo)

These are lovely big whole sprats and nice and crunch. My boy is on a bit of a diet so these are ideal as treats as low fat and good for him, our girl loves them as well. Its a good price its a big bag as very expensive in pet shop near us. Ill def be buying these again, i wud def recomend

My 10 month old Lab is on a raw diet and I am trying to avoid giving her any form of grain with regards to treats - hence trying Bentley's Dried Sprats which appeared to get very good reviews on Amazon. I ordered a 1kg pack and to be honest, they have been such a hit, I am now a total convert. Firstly, my Lab absolutely loves them, they are non messy but I admit they do smell a little fishy but certainly not on the offensive side, they are high in omega 3 and fatty acids that work wonders for her coat and skin (yes her fur just gleams now and her skin is lovely and loose) and they are totally natural. In addition - and this is a huge plus, my Lab is wired for sound - totally energetic / bouncing off the wall most of the time and certainly not reliable when it comes to recall particularly if there are other dogs and people around. These Sprats have made quite a difference to her behaviour - all I have to do is pull one sprat out of my treat bag and 80% of the time she comes back to have the sprat - believe it or not - this is a game changer for me as she has been a nightmare to try and get back. So - highly recommended - I will be buying more.

I have been feeding Bentleys Sprats for years, unlike many other brands Bentleys are processed in a way that keeps the fish intact thus preserving the oil in the fish. No dust or dross in the bag just Sprats 30 - 40 % are 10cm / 4 inches or larger the remainder generally no smaller than 6cm / 2.4 inch. My dogs take about ten seconds to chew each Sprat and enjoy every moment. I have had dog owners say their dogs won't eat fish but that has never stopped them take a Bentley Sprat. A 1kg Bag will last me a month with three dogs (and hangers on), if I was to buy supermarket over processed treats (usually imported from China) I would spend a third more at least and have dogs full of questionable chemicals. Bentley sell a Sprat with the water taken out and nothing added and your dog won't put on weight from empty calories. Save money and start feeding Sprats for treats. Sprats are a vey high value natural treat that dogs love, you will get their attention when you feed Bentleys Sprats. I have tried others but find them smaller, desiccated and brittle from kiln drying, Bentleys are a crunchy chew. They keep well, put a few in a noisy doggy snack bag. put the rest somewhere cool after rolling the bag up to expel the air I can't recommend Bentleys enough the quality is outstanding compared to other suppliers of 'dried Sprats' which turn to dust. My lovely, wilful excitable rescue dog will sit completely motionless and wait for these. She absolutely loves them and will go and sit near the cupboard, where she knows they are kept, in anticipation when she thinks she has been a good girl. It is true they smell quite strongly but easily overcome with a cheapo air tight container, old ice cream tub etc. Unlike some equivalent products, these are of decent size, good quality and very healthy for dogs. They are also well dried and not overly oily to handle. Value for money is excellent as I have found typically these cost around £8 for 200g, so £40 ish per kilo. These, at £20 ish for a kilo, are a bargain.

Been buying these for my dog for the past year now and he loves them. I have tried other/ cheaper suppliers but the quality of the fish has always been poor compared to these. Constantly great quality and I'd say a fair price for what you get. Also like you get a free snack with the order, dog loves them too.

Brilliant quality & quantity, Rough Collie loves them, good adverage size, I usually give 2 or 3 a day whilst brushing & along with his main dog food they provide a healthy glowing coat Great value compared to Pet Shop

My 6 month Dobe absolutely LOVES these! I train her with them and as soon as she smells them, I mean from 10 feet away! It stops her in her tracks... usually coming in from the garden with her JCB mucky digging paws, to sit and give paw to get them wiped before she gallops around leaving muddy prints where I don't want her to! I have a range of treats and these are definitely a favourite. I have bought these twice now and both times arrived earlier than the expected delivery date. Its a massive bag of varying sized dried sprats, although there is still a bit of plump juiciness to them - in a good way. Some slightly stuck together, but easily peeled apart. They can be torn into smaller bit too if you don't want to give a whole one, just watch your fingers for the little 'hairs' as they can get stuck in the skin if your'e not careful! The first bag was done in around a month, so given I use other treats as well, it is quite expensive, but for training they work a treat (no pun intended!). So a short term thing when giving them so regularly, but as she gets older I suspect the bag will last much longer! On the plus they are also a great source of protein, rich in omega-3, good for their skin, coat, muscle development and are easily digestible. We are also supporting a small UK business. Win win!
