A deceptively small battery that has more than enough juice to get the job done!
The worst thing about my previous weed eater was the vibration. After I got done, my left arm would shake for hours. With this weed eater, I don't have that problem. It's not as noisy, but it's just as powerful as my old weed eater. I love that, with a push of a button, I can rotate the head when I want to line the sides of my drive way. Plus, there are two wheels so that you can stay level and take the weight off you while you're doing it. When you're done, push a button and you're back to being upright. The battery is smaller than what I'm used to. However, it was plenty enough to get the job done and probably then some. I highly recommend this weed eater.

A robust wireless edge trimmer.
I love everything that Greenworks makes. The idea of doing all my lawn work without being tethered to cords or having to deal with gasoline and those pull cords is a joy. The battery charges fast and easily lasts for the entire time I'm using it. The quality is excellent also and I just dig the aesthetic of the products they make. Highly recommended.

Meh (updated)
update: battery life is horrible. after 3rd cut i cannot do entire yard anymore. after running out of string, auto advance doesn't work anymore. I use 65 with so maybe that was wrong. however, this is minor because I can't remember a string trimmer, either electric or battery where the auto advance works still good as an edger. Original: I bought this item because I'm cheap so price was the number one driver as background 54 male 260 lbs. The first time I used it was a little awkward because I was used to my Sun Joe which I loved but couldn't find a new spool cover, for the second time I've used this it was much better and having it at a 30° angle was a godsend and it did such a great job, so much better than 45° angle. this has plenty of power. the string that came with it was better than expected. it's an incredible edger and will dig deep if not careful. although the wheels that come with it to help with edging set it too high for me, but that just might be personal preference. the string feed is very conservative and there are times that you need to self-advance it depending on what you're doing, but around a chain link fence. it's it's wonderful. the flower guide I think would be better if it was underneath the spool instead of on top of it for edging at least, but that's a minor minor thing. overall, this is a great buy. the battery life and charging time is respectable.

Line feed does not work
Believe the reviews the line feed system does not work at all. You will be constantly removing the cover and manually advancing the line. Fortunately since it is the smallest diameter string you will have to do it all the time so you will get very good at it. Do not buy!

My wife loves this whacker...
We got this very light, but powerful whacker for my wife... she likes to fine-tune the work I'm doing in the yard, and this unit gives her that accurate cut.

Green works two and 1 trimmer and edger
This is a good weight for me, And that was the main reason I got it , I haven't quite figured out yet how to get it to cut right when on the wheels for edging by my drive way and sidewalks it doesn't want to go through the grass very well even after the grass has been cut at a 2 1/2 to 3in height so guess practice will help Never had this problem with my husband's Stelth weed eater , and also the auto line feeder is not working I have to literally take the spool out and redo the line myself so that is another reason I gave it only 3 stars and I bought the extra spools that already has line on them from Green works and still it doesn't work using, that is so aggravating when you purchase a tool, you expect to get what you order to work as described !! And if you have more than a 30 minute job to do you best buy another battery cause they take a while to recharge. The power of it is good just the battery runs down fast , I was going to send it back but wanted to give it a fair chance because I have some health problems and auto immune diseases that effect my muscles and so had to go lighter and was so excited I found this one but wish I had went up a grade higher maybe I would not have so many issues. I read the whole Manuel and put the trimmer /edger together step by step, but still the auto feeder doesn't work Correctly 🙁🙁

It's ease of use
Works great!!!!!! Much better than my gas trimmer. Grant it i thought it wouldn't have enough power, I was wrong. Would definitely recommend it to a friend

Okay Trimmer, but the Head Rotation Handle Doesn't Stay Securely in Place
The Greenworks 24V Cordless String Trimmer/Edger is a good edger that cut through grass and other thin plants well, but has an extendable arm that just wouldn't stay in place. I really wanted to like this edger, but found it terribly frustrating to use because I couldn't get the extendable pole to lock securely into place. The battery life is great, the speed and power of the edger were strong enough to cut through grass and other plants well, the unit was lightweight, and I loved the attachable wheels to help guide the edger in a straight line while taking most of the weight. What I didn't like was the pole that rotates the head. Even after tightening it, the head would always rotate while I was using it. If I had the head set vertically, the vibrations would slowly end up rotating the cutting head horizontally. When set horizontally, it would slowly begin to turn vertically. There is no way to really lock it into place like my old Black and Decker edger. The way this particular edger pole locks in place is with a clip type latch. Even after tightening it, it would inevitably start rotating again. Additionally, the pole would also retract itself back to "starting" length because the latch couldn't hold the extended length in place. This was just so irritating I ended up returning the unit. I'm not sure if I just happened to get a bum unit, but I prefer the pull out and turn locking system of my old edger. This would have been a perfect unit if the extender/rotating pole stayed in place, but alas. This is not something I would recommend.
