Leyland Granocryl Smooth Masonry, Brilliant White, 5L

This is excellent value , it's a good quality masonry paint, it covers smooth even over an old brick wall with one coat , I've painted all my stone fence posts and washing line post , as well as 8 concrete gravel boards and I've still got just under half a tin left. It is a brilliant white colour, it is easy to paint with , it covers well and goes a long way , when you consider the price of some other exterior wall paint prices , this is very good value. It has worked really well for what I needed it for , fence posts and a brick wall , it's not too thin or thick , just the right consistency to paint a smooth finish over walls and bricks. It doesn't smell like some other exterior paints I've used and the performance is really good for the price. I'd definitely consider purchasing more in the future.

Fantastic paint. I was going to buy a tub the same size for nearly double the cost. One tub did a single coat of my entire one car garage. I got the cheaper tin and it was only a small dent and did not affect the product.

Needed some masonry paint to cover a small area of unfinished rendering over our front porch. The can was a bit big for my needs but it seemed like good value and it's always handy to have some masonry paint around. I cant fault the paint, is was easy to apply and coverage/finish was excellent. I can't comment on the weatherproofing as I was applying the paint to a covered area of our porch. However it looks good and seems to have sealed the rendering very well. Cleaning up was easy too as the paint is water based. Some previous reviewers have reported problems with the item leaking during transit and arriving in a poor state. I think the seller has noted these issues and has tried to remedy them by wrapping the can in a strong shrink plastic. As you can see from my photo, this has worked OK and stopped the paint from leaking everywhere but the lid has still popped off in transit. Fortunately in my case the leakage was minimum and restricted to the inside of the plastic wrap. If the item had arrived safely I would have given it 5 stars! The seller should perhaps include some bubble-wrap in the packing and warnings on the box to handle with care and keep upright. The Amazon shipping/handling and shipping team should also take more care with such items...

Good value for money but the opacity isn't as high as with other, more expensive paints. It's a trade off between price and covering power, so if you have more time on your hands and don't mind two or three coats, then this paint may be for you. Otherwise, I'll be sticking with a thicker, more densely pigmented paint that covers everything in one coat e.g. Sandtex.
