SC/APC to SC/APC Armored

After having a fiber line installed directly into my office, I realized weeks later that I needed to move my network drop to a more central location in the house. This wire has an adapter which connected the current fiber cable I had to the new one this came with. This allowed me to move the modem I had across the room on my ceiling. The internet speed remained the same so my fiber internet was still 2.5gbps. The price was affordable and this quality is great.

Update Jan 12th 2026: This fiber has been in my attic for about 2 years now, and while I did not necessarily originally get the armored cable for any particular reason, figured why not, and I'm glad I did. As you can see, animals, more specifically cats (the most likely for a couple reasons), chewed up two ethernet cables and this fiber cable, and as you can see from the picture, even though the outer jacket and Kevlar have been destroyed, the inner portions of the cable are completely intact and unscathed, you can see the ethernet cables for comparison in my pictures. I have now attached. Highly recommend this cable. Even if you don't think you need armored. Original review, Feb 2024: I actually ordered the version without the pulling eye and it came with the pulling eye anyway, It also did come with the bulkhead in the box. Make sure you look in the box because I did not notice it at first and thought it did not.

Exact replacement fiber patch cable for AT&T fiber from the wall to the BGW. Arrived next day. Worked perfectly. Nice.

While using Bangun armored fiber cables in my home may seem overkill, I like them due to their robust build and for this single cable construction (vs 2 attached side by side). The first fiber cables I used were the typical yellow plastic 2 fibers side by side construction. The issue I have with those cables is that they harden over time, and they aren't malleable as a single cable construction (sorry I don't know how to properly describe single vs two cable construction). The reason I purchased this cable was to relocate the ONT from my garage to the media room where the AT&T gateway (BGW210) is. I wanted to do this to get the ONT out of the hot garage and prepare for a future upgrade to the all in one BGW320. The time came when my 10 year old BGW210 needed to be replaced and having already passed SC/APC fiber all the way up to the gateway, the AT&T easily replaced my ONT & BGW210 with a BGW320. The only glitch was that I had assumed the connectors were clean and did not clean them myself with the appropriate tool (not cloth or your hands!). Once the tech cleaned the connectors, it passed his tests. I have already replaced most of my fiber drops with Bangun cables, and will slowly replace them all as the desire to work in the attic returns!
