![John Wick: Chapters 1 & 2 [Blu-ray] [2017]](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91Jyy32M5mL.jpg)

Double bill of action thrillers starring Keanu Reeves as a former hitman who must return to the criminal world he left behind in order to seek revenge. In 'John Wick' (2014), after the eponymous hitman (Reeves) refuses to sell his car to Russian gang leader Iosef (Alfie Allen), the gang members break into his home and kill his dog, a gift left to him by his late wife Helen (Bridget Moynahan). It turns out that Iosef is the son of Wick's ex-boss Viggo Tarasov (Michael Nyqvist), head of the Russian mafia in New York. As John attempts to track down and kill Iosef he encounters assassin Ms. Perkins (Adrianne Palicki), who is working for Viggo, and eventually faces his former boss in an ultimate showdown. In 'John Wick - Chapter 2' (2017) Wick is again coaxed out of retirement when Italian crime boss Santino D'Antonio (Riccardo Scamarcio) calls in a debt and persuades the former hitman to kill his sister, Gianna (Claudia Gerini), in Rome. However, the tables are soon turned when Santino puts out a hit on Wick, a bounty his fellow assassins all over the world are only too happy to collect. The cast also includes Ian McShane, John Leguizamo, Willem Dafoe and Laurence Fishburne. Review: Superb film - Entertainment and acting at its best. It's a must watch Review: Great buy (assuming you like the films!) - Very good price for both films in one convenient package. Not going to bother trying to review the films - much better reviewers can be found on Rotten Tomatoes, so I would suggest looking there first. To my taste, both films are slick, well made, clever and action filled, so well worth your effort viewing. Like (almost) all sequels, the first is better due to its originality, but the 2nd does delve deeper into the hidden world John Wick reenters in his quest for retribution, so if you enjoyed the first, I would recommend seeing chapter 2.

Good DVD box set
I was interested to see how Keanu Reeves brought John Noakes to the screen in this drama documentary. It does play around with the story for dramatic effect. Shep is no longer a collie and gets killed early on instead of being kept by the BBC. However it does faithfully follow John Noakes career as international assassin and daredevil. I wish they had had time to include his scaling of Nelson's column but maybe that will be shown in John Noakes 3 and 4. Keanu Reeves doesn't quite get the accent right and never utters the well known phrase "get down Shep" but I am happy with the accuracy of the two films.

Action from start to finish
This was my first time watching the John Wick movies, and I wish I'd bought them sooner. An action packed ride, but also has a story, so it's not just mindless action. Excellent films. And will review the 3rd on a separate review, when I've watched It.

Don't mess with him!!
I saw this on TV a while back and really enjoyed it, and had to buy to watch again. Great action film, lots of dead bad guys and I never got bored with any part of the story and was on the edge of the sofa at times. Well worth the watch. With 1&2 together it gives great value for money.

Brilliant films
After watching both back to back, I basically spent the next 24 hours thinking I could kill anyone I looked at. I already had John Wick on Blu Ray, but decided that it would save space to have as a two-pack on the shelf. Watched back to back (as the second starts basically immediately after). Couldn't tell if the ending was hinting a third, but may have to save space again and buy the three-pack if so!!
