I think it is fabulous and anyone with any autoimmune disease would be helped by this book. It is a faff t change your way of eating but it is SO worth it to del better. I have felt heaps better since I followed this way of eating. (I have Hashimotos Thyroiditis) So avoiding sugar,gluten and dairy sound hard to do - but it is possible and worth try if you have been feeling lousy for ages. Anyway it is a BRILLIANTLY researched book as is The Paleo Approach - Reverse Autoimmune Disease. Oh yes - I lost weight too! Excellent - Extremely User-Friendly
Very well set out - information is easily accessible; design, print and photos make it a very pleasant book to use. All recipes tried so far have been good. Sufficient explanation and detail to help the reader through the whole process from understanding the importance of the ingredients, to storing the prepared dish. All in all a very useful book.

Worth buying
Looks like a good book. Interesting recipes and ideas for replacement ingredients for everyday necessities. Good pictures accompany the recipes which is an essential. Beware though book uses cups so if you are English you will need to convert. Heavy to hold.

I also purchased the Paleo approach ( with £9 discount), I would call that a double bonus. Really good price for something well worth the original price hands down. I bought the two books to help me heal some autoimmune symptoms, and to improve my overall health and well bet. AAAAAAAA*************

Very disappointing
I think the paleo diet is a great idea. I have an autoimmune disease so I want to follow the diet for my health. BUT I'm afraid I don't like this book. As a Brit, a lot of the ingredients are nigh on impossible to get here. And to be honest I don't like any of the recipes. I'm sure it will suit others, but I do wish I hadn't wasted my money.

kann dieses buch nur empfehlen, finde es übersichtlich (ja, über puzzleteile als grafisches element kann man streiten, aber es geht hier um wichtigere dinge als designfragen...) und logisch aufgebaut. man muss ja auch nicht alles essen, wenn man z.b. keine schweinefüße mag. aber im großen und ganzen sind meiner meinung nach nur wenige "merkwürdige" rezepte dabei und das buch regt an auch mal was neues auszuprobieren. wenn ich tiere esse, weiß ich ja schließlich, dass z.b. eine kuh nicht nur aus filet und bratenstücken besteht. habe für mich herausgefunden, dass rinder-bäckchen sehr gut schmecken, habe diese allerdings in eigenkreation marniert und dann wie gulasch gekocht, super. sarah ballantyne hat fundiertes wissen, habe auch schon die paläo therapie von ihr gelesen, auch sehr empfehlenswert. ich kann mich nur bei frau ballantyne herzlichst bedanken.

This cookbook is as wonderful as I expected it to be. I have been following Sarah on Facebook as the Paleo mom for quite some time now and love how she explains things scientifically yet so I can understand. The book is outstandingly complete! From the macro/micro nutrient listing for EVERY single recipe to the great section listing if you need specific kitchen appliances so you can prep. I love the recipes we have tried so far and have tabs on the pages we want to try soon

Lo compré esperando encontrar recetas que hicieran las verduras más atractivas, pues tras 3 años de dieta me había cansado de tomarlas de forma sencilla (al vapor con aceite y vinagre), y sólo encuentro recetas con bacon. La autora debería saber que no es deseable tomar un mismo alimento con demasiada frecuencia, ya que se puede desarrollar intolerancia al mismo. Una decepción.
