Useful accessory to advanced OO gauge modellers.
These insulated rail joiners, or fishplates, are useful on layouts where non-isolating points are used. They enable you to isolate a section of track, typically a siding so that any train using the mainline will not cause the loco in the siding to move. If you do this, you will need to add an additional power feed to the siding and include a switch to isolate or energise the siding. The drawback of a self-isolating isolating point is that it will disconnect power to the other route when it is thrown. This is inconvienent when other sidings are powered from that section of track. This is where insulating fishplates come in handy.

I liked the quality of the product but it is quite expensive.

Work perfectly. Links up Hornby rails together without issue. Also used to link other manufacturers track, but tighter fit.

Great new more aesthetic looking than than the normal bit fir plastic ones. Great new product, I wasn’t sure if I had got the correct ones then I saw it a newer model and also great for flex track!
