Skechers Men's Urban Tread-Refresh Ankle Boots

The shoes were purchased for my husband as replacements for his own much loved ones, and I was a bit worried that he would not like them, but he thinks they are great, they are comfortable, fit well as expected and very easy to wear, and they look good as well. He loves them so much that he wants another pair.

I hesitated before buying these shoes due to the negative reviews concerning poor grip on wet surfaces. However, i decided to give them a go due to Amazon's free returns offer. As others have said, the quality and comfort is very good, and certainly good value for money. Now for the grip,issue. I would say that it is noticeable on very wet shiny surfaces - beware pub toilet floors, especially if you've had a few drinks - but otherwise doesn't seem to be a problem for me. Wet tarmac and concrete are fine. I would add that the soles are a little odd. They're a bit like AstroTurf boots, but with a harder rubber compound, and with only about 20% of the sole in contact with the ground. I see no real reason for this, unless it's to save rubber? If the soles were improved these would be 5* shoes.

These are comfortable and hard wearing. Wider than other makes which makes them a good fit for me. Warm and able to cope with the rain. Sketchers are defiantly worth the money.

Bought for husband, Skechers are only brand of trainers/casual shoe he will wear now after being converted a couple of years ago. He has long, narrow feet and these are perfect for someone (like him) with a slim fitting foot. These are third pair in this type of style - have had the light tan and the black previously, both other pairs still going strong but ordered these for change of colour and as such good price and fast delivery. Excellent, quality, hard wearing product, great price, overnight delivery. What more could you want?

Have purchased 2 paires of Skechers shoes now, due the the positive feedback left. Thy are lovely and comfortable and fairly hard wearing. Only thing that I found to not be very good is the grip on the souls. Going from outside into a shopping center or any where there are tiles then you have to be very careful. It’s a great shame but will not be buying sketches again for that reason.

I purchased these to wear at work, wanted the trainers / shoes look, something comfortable yet a bit more formal than my DC skate shoes. The Seller: Ordered these on a Sunday, told it would take a week to deliver, they arrived on Tuesday. Within those two days i had received an email to say my purchase had been dispatched, then an email telling me it would arrive between 1 - 2pm. They arrived 1.30pm. Spot on ! The Shoes: Nicely packaged as you would expect for a pair of shoes. They fit really well and are very light in weight. They look exactly as they appear in the display images, colour is exactly the same. The treads feel quite tough with almost a studded feel, which i prefer. The material of the shoes is soft and supple with the interiors being equally soft and comfy. May not matter to many people but for me it makes for a nice bonus, they were both laced as pictured meaning you could slip them on straight out of the box, no messing around with 6 feet of laces. Overall: Look as pictured, very light and comfortable, reasonably priced, very quick delivery. Spot on !

Both shoes feel symmetrical, comfortable and very warm. Sole is soft and spongy yet elastic and slippy. The shoes look great overall and so does the material which they are made from. These shoes may not be very resistant to scratches or bending as the primary material feels a little thin. Stitching is good but not perfect. Insole is elastic and only a little soft. Laces are easy to lace up due to silky fabric. Sole feels like it should last as long or longer than the rest of the shoe. The only real issue with the shoes I have is that they are extremely slippy in wet conditions. Care should be taken on non-porous surfaces as even with a few drops of water a fall is possible. Even on wet rough cement path the the shoes slip when walking up a hill. I have good balance so it does not bother me, though I am being careful still. I would not recommend these shoes and sketchers brand in general if you are prone to falls. Would give it 5 stars if not for the slippery sole. Good value for money at £34.85. Identical shoes retailed for 60€ in Ireland.

I've had Skechers trainers in the past and they have always been well made and comfortable. I recently bought a cheaper pair of "Skecher lookalikes" from a high street chain. At first they seemed OK but they just did not last and the sides began to split. I decided to return to what I knew were good. These were cheaper here on Amazon than I found at a retailer. As I know my size, I bought them. Usual Skecher quality and comfort.
