I’ve had this four years and when I moved house, I took off the adhesive. It came with and replaced it with a very strong double sided tape and now I’m using it in the new house. It’s fantastic! I actually used it simply to keep the door from opening all the way and letting too much light into the bedroom because it disturbs my sleep. Perfect as the cat could Come and go at he pleased. Today I have purchased a second one. We moved into an old house and the doors don’t all latch. We have a new kitten we’re integrating into our home and so we need to keep doors closed while they get to know each other’s scents. We are actually using this to keep the doors 99% closed and the cats safely separated. You will not regret purchasing this. There may be a child proof version that would be less expensive but we are able to use this in the middle of the night when it’s dark and we are half asleep getting up and going to the restroom it is so easy to pop in and out as it’s just a little hook. So good!!!!

Brilliant. Easy to install and it works. Most definitely cat proof and keeps my pair from opening the bathroom door!

This is a brilliant item , keeps our dogs out of the cats area and stops them stealing the food.

I bought this while fostering a staffie cross to keep him out of my kitchen and allow my cats some peace! It works very well and it's simplicity is fabulous. The only minor (and it really is minor) thing to raise is that you need to keep checking it is still fixed on the length you set it at as it does loosen. Obviously this is of little to no use if you have a tiny dog as the smallest gap allows these through. That's not a fault of the product as it is made to allow cats to get through and some dogs are cat sized!

I have two cats(brother and sister) and one shared automatic feeder. My male cat was eating all the food dispensed from the feeder and my female cat going without. Luckily I spotted what was happening when my female cat begging for food 24/7 and the male cat gorging on all the food then throwing up. This lovely device has solved my problems. I’ve segregated their feeds in two different rooms and my male cat having become rather porky can’t squeeze through the slim door (adjusted by this fabulous device). It arrived in just 6 hours from ordering and took literally 2 seconds to fix. It’s solid and doesn’t budge. The door opening can be easily adjusted to suit the size of your cat or dog. Definitely recommend this product. It’s a lot cheaper than buying microchipped food dispensers (priced around £100 each). I’d give it 11/10

The kids can still open the door not very strong and not worth the money

Our batroom door has to stay always open, because our Bengal cat needs a constant access to the batroom. She has her litter box located in our bathroom. This latch makes sure the door stays always open, but not too wide. The latch allows you to regulate how wide you want the door to stay open. Installation is very easy, it all holds nicely and securely on self-adhesive tape. The bond is quite strong. We are really happy with this door latch.

These are super we have a Ragdoll kitten ,these are perfect for leaving doors slighty open without worrying about him going in .Purchased 3 in total .

Nach ein paar Problemen mit dem Versand (hier reagierte Amazon aber nach dem Anruf prompt und wir bekamen den Door Buddy zwei Tage später geliefert) haben wir unseren Door Buddy installiert und ich muss sagen, es ist genau das, was wir brauchten. Wir benötigen den Door Buddy, um unsere Insektenschutztür zum Garten so zu sichern, dass unsere (reinen Haus-) Katzen nicht in den Garten kommen. Die Türe hat zwar einen Magneten, der sie zuhält, kann aber von gewitzten Vierbeinern an einer bestimmten Stelle aufgedrückt werden oder geht auch auf, wenn sie im Spiel dagegen donnern. Daher musste ich mir etwas einfallen lassen, um die Türe zu sichern. Der Door Buddy hilft dabei enorm. Ich habe zwei davon in der Mitte und unten installiert und nun hält die Türe auch, wenn jemand dagegen drückt, denn sie schnappt sofort in den Magnet zurück, wenn sie aufgemacht wird. Der Door Buddy ist gut durchdacht. Man kann ihn verstellen und man befestigt ihn ähnlich, wie die Tesa Power Strips - das heißt nämlich auch, dass man ihn wieder ablösen kann. Es sind zwei extra Strips dabei, so dass man die Position auch wieder verändern kann. Das Klebeband hält meiner Meinung nach wirklich gut, so wie halt Power Strips auch. Ich gebe gerne 5 Sterne für das Produkt.

Llegó mucho antes de lo indicado. Ya teníamos un par de ellas y son geniales para que nuestra perra no moleste a nuestros gatos mientras comen y no les coma su comida si nos despistamos.

I really liked this product! Worked very well in segmenting the door for cats (not baby) and also another door for baby (not cats!). Lifesaver and a great product. Just a little costly for me.

Ceci a réglé notre problème. Notre berger australien ne cessait d'aller manger la nourriture de nos chats qui mangent dans la salle de bain. Il a suffit d'installer (très facilement) le Door Buddy et voilà, le chien se met le nez dans la fente qui demeure ouverte de quelques pouces mais elle ne peut plus entrer. Les chats sont contents et moins stressés. Très satisfaite du Door Buddy 😊
