[5-Pack] Hard Drive Disk Protective Box - EAXER Shockproof Anti-Static Storage Case for 3.5 Inch HDD - Green/Red/Gray/Blue/White

I have purchased this based on reviews and I wanted to test it out on external HDs, which was the main reason for the purchase. I don't have internal HDs that need storing. Not much to say honestly, they are great for storing my external HDs as you can see from the photo. They work great for HDs which are bigger than 1TB as they are thicker, smaller thinner HDs will move around, however if you store the USB HD cable in the same cover it will keep the HD from moving around.

Excellent pack, and the boxes hold the HDD's very securely thanks to a foam pad at the top holding them and stopping them from shaking about. The only reason I don't give 3 stars is that I find them awkward to open. I have to use a tool, coz otherwise i am sure I will lose a nail! Otherwise, exactly what I was looking for.

The colours may look a little "washed out" but these boxes are quite substantially made. They are slightly wider (in the smallest dimension) than most makes, so you don't have to hold your breath whilst inserting the drive's PCB into an opening which is also narrower in the middle than at the ends. Comparing the average of 2 random samples taken from the two types of storage boxes I have these ones are 3 mm wider at the hinge and catch and 4.2 mm wider in the centre than my other make. Furthermore, the other make have 2.2 mm high ribs extending down the inside of the box on each side, thus making the clearance for passage of the drive about 8.5 mm more in the case of the Eaxer boxes. I prefer not to mention the name of the other make because almost identical articles carry different names. As yet, none of the catches have broken - unlike the two packs of another make I bought earlier.

as above, quality product at a good price. not a great idea to have drives stored only in esd bags. i have my drives in bags and they still fit the cases.grand job

They are a quality product , not much to them of course but in my opinion will do the job required . Just one thing it would have been nice I suppose to be able to say pick one colour , just a small thing .

Strong boxes, looks like they will last.

Was a bit worried at the price - and they do look a bit cheap. But they have been exactly what I wanted. Would definitely buy more if needed.
