Which is positive and which negative please

Either ! But there is usually a slight line or mark on one of the wires and the idea is that for stereo sound or more speakers that the negative at the amplifier is connected to one of the 2 wires right the way to the speaker negative terminal . If it is a single speaker system then it doesn’t matter. So for car stereo or 4 plus speaker systems all the radio amplifier negatives must connect with the speaker negative or the sound will be out of synch and the sound will not be good or as good as it can be . Would this wire be ok to put 24 volts through it for my ring doorbell?

simple answer is no, it will work, but it is the wrong wire, look for bell wire which is much cheaper.

Is this compatible for 2000 watt speaker

My speakers are 4 OHMS power attached to a micro stereo system and i was able to extend speakers with no problems. Hope this helps.
