It comes with all you need to get your router up and running in no time, making fantastic and unique signs, and all at a great price. I'm so pleased with my Milescraft 1262 sign pro, that I have now ordered the Milescraft 1253 TurnLock Router Circle and Edge Cutting Guide as well.

This is a great piece of kit,I made a perfectly good sign on a piece of oak on the first attempt. Easy to put together and use.I watched a milescraft “how to”video first and with a bit of practice the signs will Look professionally made.l shall enjoy using this and it will pay for itself in no time. Setting up ,like most things takes the time ,and taking care in operation.Be careful not to catch the plastic templates It would be even better with symbols etc .For sample I would like to make direction signs. I have now made an arrow template for this cut from an old plastic/vinyl sign.

This is a very comprehensive kit and with every thing you are likely to need in the box, sadly the part that fits on the router would not fit the three I have and had to buy another one that would. The results are pretty hit and miss on some of the letters N R B are a bit dodgy so be prepared to do trials on scrap wood before attempting anything decent , with practice you should be able to achieve good results for basic signs.

Something for DIY-ers. Help make some simply sign. Need some training.

Excellent product first class service

The service is very good. Very easy to set up.. It comes with everything you need except the router. I would recommend this sign writing equipment. It. 's make sign writing much easier.

You get lots of parts for your money but when you start to use it you'll quickly realise that its actually very cheaply made and very fiddly to assemble and use, letters do not sit securely in the frame and the router guide doesn't fit Dewalt cordless router without some modifications. Supplied router bits have gone blunt very quickly. If this sold for £30 I'd recommend it, but at £99 it's really not worth it.

they work great but the N hard to follow

It does not fit my Router???..what is wrong with you negative people this is a 5+ star product. All you do is drill a hole to match the clear plastic base plate and it works like a dream...amazing...it takes a little bit of time but use a sharpie to mark the clear plastic base plate to match your Router and then drill and countersink the holes to take the existing screws from your Router....so simple. Should you be using a Router or woodworking if you cant figure this out???? This a brilliant product and fantastic quality... and I don"t even work for these people and live in Australia...great product ...great service

I first tried just using the lettering templates that interlock and that you just tape into place (as was recommended by their "how to" video). I was not at all satisfied with the results. It was difficult to position the router and if you were not very careful you would cut right through the template since the pilot did not set down well into the guide. After this disappointment, I ordered the Sign Pro Router Signmaking Jig. Maybe I did not read carefully enough but I did not realize that it came with everything you need. Templates, router base with a different pilot inserts, router bits, jig frame, braces, clamps - the works. The jig elevates the templates above the work and holds them in place so that the pilot slips right down into the templates and allows you the follow the template. This is not totally foolproof since, for some letters, it very much makes a difference the direction you follow the template, etc. This is because of the direction of rotation of the bit and the fact that the templates are not a full outline of the letters. As a result, a little practice is required for some letters as is a careful setup prior to starting to make sure everything is clamped and tight. After only a few practice runs, very acceptable results can be achieved with this system. It does appear that only the Milescraft templates work in this system so you are somewhat limited there. The jig also supposedly has the ability to be doubled in length but I found it to not be very stable in that configuration - I found the extended version more trouble that it was worth and just cut one frame at a time. Bottom line, this may not make you a professional sign maker but it does a decent job and, since it includes everything that you need, it is a good value for the money. I have very much enjoyed playing with it and have turned out some decent custom-made signs. I strongly recommend it vs. the interlocking templates that are not held in place above the work by a frame.
