I am really REALLY happy with this purchase so far. Although I did not get it for a child I can see where it would be a great starter machine that has some of the features most needed in my opinion. Bobbin winding and reverse being a couple of those features. I am NOT a child in fact I am a senior citizen who has sewed in the past but by no means any kind of professional. I was wanting to modify some night shirts I have to make them longer and thought this might work, and wow does it ever!!! I have done 3 so far and have had no real issues, sometimes there is a lot more material on the right side of the needle that I would like and once it caused me to create a fold lol Removed that easy enough, so just something to watch for. Threading the machine is super easy except of course for the needle old eyes and small needles do not go together well lol. I am trying to find a larger eye needle that will fit this machine so if you know of an option please PLEASE let me know. Bottom line is I would highly recommend this machine for anyone that does occasional sewing. I have mobility issues and the light weight is awesome. Super easy machine to set up and use right out of the box.

This is the 2nd machine I'm returning. The first one was a different brand and wouldn't work properly either (similar type machine), so I explored and found this one with mostly good reviews. I should've read the poor reviews because that is exactly what this machine deserves. Before giving this to my granddaughter (the first one I gave her for Christmas and I didn't open it to test it out - it got returned for lack of working- it kept jamming). So this is the replacement I bought. I had it sent to myself so I could test it out before giving to her. I sewed the elastic band inside my pajamas perfectly. It worked like a charm. I decided I would cut up a t-shirt and sew some seams and do some test stitches to give to my granddaughter along with the machine. I did this immediately after sewing the pajamas. I hadn't changed any settings or anything. When trying to sew the tshirt, the thread kept coming out of the needle. I kept rethreading it but then when the thread didn't come out, it would constantly jam and not sew any stitches at all. The needle broke! I tried putting a new needle in that came with the machine. The needle would not go in (flat side to the right as per instructions). I have experience with sewing machines and know how to thread a machine and replace needles. No matter what I did while the screw was loose, the needle would not go into the hole. I guess I'm going to have to spend a little more money so my granddaughter doesn't get disappointed with a crappy machine. DON'T BUY THIS PIECE OF CRAP! This machine isn't worth a quarter!

I typically don’t write reviews but seeing as this only had 3.8 stars I had to let others know how much I love this machine! I have never used a sewing machine in my life but this machine is so simple to use with the different stitch settings and the needles are great, I got this machine to alter my pants as I am only 5ft and hated not being able to find short friendly pants. All the jeans I’ve altered have had no issues whatsoever with the thread unthreading and it’s been at least a month since I sewed it! I see people are saying the thread gets jammed or what not and that did happen to me when I first switched fabric but after playing around with the tension knob I was able to get it to work just fine :) like I said I really only use the machine for simple alteration when needed so I don’t know how it would hold up for someone who uses a sewing machine very often but as someone who only needs it on occasion it is literally perfect and I love the size as it makes it so easy to store in my office and the bag is perfect for holding everything that comes with it :)

This little machine is perfect!!! It is portable meaning you can use it with batteries or with the plug and the pedal that come with it! It is self explanatory but there are tons of videos on YouTube that will show you all you need to know about this machine!!! I was so scared to try to use a sewing machine at one point because it looked so complicated and it was so powerful when I purchased a bigger one before but this one was so easy to use with fast and slow speeds and not as intimidating as my old sewing machine because it fits so well anywhere!!! The machine works well and comes with various sewing accessories, such as threads in different colors, pre-threaded bobbins, a seam ripper, small scissors, needles, etc. It also comes pre-threaded—which I found very helpful for those who don't know how to thread a machine—and includes a great cover. I bought the machine for my granddaughter, and she loved it. The only downside I found concerns the power switch. When you plug the machine in, it turns on immediately (the light comes on) and works fine with the foot pedal. There is a button to increase sewing speed, but no power-off button; it only turns off if you unplug it, which I didn't like. But aside from that detail, it’s an excellent purchase.

This is very nice and would be perfect for a beginner BUT it constantly jams and becomes very frustrating. I’m thinking ours might be defective.

I was hesitant to buy this, but did so because it had 4 stars and I needed a small, portable sewing machine that wasn’t wildly expensive. I should have went with my gut this time. For starters, it’s loud. Like REALLY loud. But that’s not even the real issue. Once I got it set up and turned the power button to on, the machine started working on its own. Meaning, I wasn’t pressing the pedal at all and couldn’t stop the needle from going up & down. The only way to use it manually (as it should be used) is to turn the power off. Yes, the power switch needs to be off in order to have manual control over the speed of the needle. I tried to get past the bizarreness of the power issue, but after 2 minutes the thread kept getting tangled & knotted and the machine would stop working. I had to keep taking the spool off, cutting the mess off and re-threading. This machine isn’t even worth it to get just to pre-fill bobbins because it couldn’t even do that right. It only wound them half way. I had to manually maneuver the thread up & down to get an even fill.I most definitely do not recommend this, even for beginners. Save yourself the frustration and spend the extra money on something more reliable.

Third class product can't work properly a month totally waist of money and they don't have any customer care number on box or they don't have any website so u can't can't contact with them. And return policy only for 1 week and machine show's colour in 15 days so can't can't even return or get your money back or order any other machine don't purchase ever im here in repairing shop and they also can't find what's wrong with this

Packaging was very bad.And machine was not well packaged in box . Materials provided were also not properly arranged.
