The service was excellent. Ordered Sunday lunchtime standard delivery
The service was excellent. Ordered Sunday lunchtime standard delivery, arrived next day early pm. Only had it a week but so far it's performed beyond my expectations. It's the basic model, no programming, no apps, just press the start button and off it goes. It returns to the charging station automatically when the battery is low and recharges but you have to press the start button to set it off again. The dust box is small and we empty it after every charge cycle (about 40 minutes). This is very easy to do and takes seconds. It works in a random way, sets off purposefully in one direction until it bumps (gently) into something then turns and sets off again. Don't watch it to see if it covers a certain area because that will drive you mad! If you're not satisfied just set it going again. I'm surprised at how much such a small, low powered cleaner collects and I've become a fan of the robot cleaner but don't expect miracles. It does not clean edges and corners as well as you would by hand but given the time it saves that's a price worth paying. It is very quiet. I endorse all the positive reviews on the site. The idea of pre-programming, Alexa control and suchlike was attractive but costs a lot extra so we thought we'd see how the basic model worked first. Now we have it, and since the dust box needs emptying frequently, I'm not certain how you could set this to clean a number of rooms in your absence without the dust box becoming clogged. I wonder if anyone has resolved this problem.

Little Roomba improving my life!
Reviewing this one after having used it for a couple months now. This was the first time I had purchased a robot vacuum. Like many, I had been intrigued for years! Sounds like a dream, doesn't it? I think anyone going in with realistic expectations will be very pleased with this. It's clearly an entry level product and the price tag can be a bit daunting because of it - but I definitely haven't been disappointed. So what makes it worthy of 4 stars? It does exactly what you'd hope. I set it off and it trundles around like a drunk baby, bumping into all the sides of my rooms and vacuuming along the way. It collects up a lot, and it's always pleasing to empty the dust tray and see how much it's picked up. My floors have definitely never been cleaner (helped by the fact I'm a lazy millennial that didn't really vacuum all that much before) It manages to cross over between hard floor and carpet without any issues at all, does a good job on both. Is it perfect? No. It cant do corners, it can't do stairs. But I haven't taken any stars off for that, because realistically you should be expecting that going into this. So why 4 stars instead of 5? I'll go back to the drunk baby part. It just isn't very smart. There doesn't seem to be a lot of intelligence in the way it cleans and this can be frustrating to watch. When it realises it has to dock (either tray full or battery low I assume) it can take a while to find it's way back. Also, it will sometimes not quite get itself placed correctly on the charger, meaning it doesn't re-charge when I expect it too. But, these aren't showstoppers for me. I still use it daily (at least) and it is doing all I would have expected. I'm pleased with it, I would absolutely recommend it.

Superb!
I was in two minds whether to buy this as I felt it was quite expensive for something I didn't know would work well, I'm so glad I did finally buy it. I was expecting to run it a few times during the week and run the proper hoover round every week. I was extremely impressed by the thorough job it does and I'm not going to need to run the other hoover around except to use the extension to do cobwebs. I love that you just press a button and it hoovers the room for you. It takes quite a long time, about half an hour per room but does an excellent job. It's quieter than a regular hoover but still fairly loud. It needs emptying after running but it's a quick job. I'm delighted with it and wish I'd bought it sooner.

Magnificent - wish I'd bought one years ago.
Dave has settled in as one of the family - although my 16 year old daughter is irrationally scared of him. She finds the whole concept disturbing. I set him off as I leave for work or head out shopping etc. and let him get on with it. OKI still have to do the stair as unlike Daleks Dave can't manage stairs. You get to learn which small mats etc. to pick up and ensure doors are wedged open as Dave can sometimes get himself trapped in a room. The small dustbox isn't really an issue as Dave gets sent out each day - I'm still quite astonished how much he picks up each day - possibly my giant fur shedding Ragdoll cat has something to do with it. You can just shut Dave intoone room and let him go on his (very random) way. This way you'll (probably) get a more thorough clean of the room. He's not programmable but I really don't have a problem pushing his button on my way out of the door. Some may want to be able to schedule their Dave to run every weekday at 0900 etc. I can see how that might be a thing or maybe to send him round twice. Couldn't really afford one of these before - have had to wait for price to come down and then I went for an Amazon warehouse deal. OK the box was a bit duffed up but Dave was brand new! In hindsight, I could have afforded one of these before. The amount I've wasted on other vacuums. I could have bought a Dave and then a small second hand one for corners and stairs. It's hard to factor in the cost of the convenience factor. My flat now gets vacuumed every single day. Once a week I get the other machine out and go round the corners and what have you, but the place is getting a more thorough going over than it ever did. Dave may even get a christmas card.

Good Quality Vacuum
This is a very efficient vacuum cleaner. You would never believe the things it picked up when I first got it yesterday. I was under the impression, however, that this model could connect to Alexa. I have tried for the past 3 hours to connect my mobile to Alexa but with no joy. I was Furious when I checked with Google and found that my mother was too old to connect to Wi-Fi or Alexa. I particularly wanted one that connected to Wi-Fi and Alexa so I might see if I can return it and get a slightly newer model. Also, I heard that with the newer models of Roomba you get an extra filter, extra brushes and a cleaning tool for the brushes. Some models even come with virtual wall with batteries included and a remote control with batteries as well. I wish I'd paid the extra money for a newer model with these extras plus Wi-Fi. If you're looking for a very basic model that just does the cleaning with no extras then this would be the model for you as it's vacuuming is so efficient.

True definition of a labour saving device
Best Purchase ever. This little workaholic just gets on diligently with doing what I bought her to do. A little noisy but not more than a washing machine on the spin cycle. I live in a very dusty part of the globe and I hate walking barefoot on my tiled floor and feeling the dirt. She just gobbles up all the dust and dirt on the floor and my tender soles give her work 100% every single time. She occasionally swallows more than she can cope with and she will stop and give a beep followed by an error voice message indicating what the problem is. In my case, I just had to remove the brushes, remove some floss from it and fix it again. Note of caution though...if you are on of those who just throws bits of floss about, this little wonder will catch you out and you will have to constantly disentangle floss from its brushes. Only thing I would change is the docking station. It moves about when the Roomba tries to dock and if Panasonic could put suckers underneath to make it more stable , that would be great. As it is, I normally anchor it with sellotape onto the bare floor to make docking flawless All in all, an excellent device and now an indispensable part of our household appliances

This works great, carpet is spotless and no more complaints
Bought this for parents. New dog in house and hair on carpet driving certain folks crazy. This works great, carpet is spotless and no more complaints. Noise wise much quieter than our normal hoover. It has no timer function but I knew that before buying it however it has no 'carry handle' which does make it awkward bringing from room to room hence 4 stars.

many things to improve but ok for the level entry option.
many things could be improved but considering the low level price it is ok. very sturdy (and noisy) clean my rooms very well. sometimes it misses the docking station at the end of the session and I find it beached like a whale in a corner. I would have enjoyed an easy timer so that it can start after I leave the house early in the morning. Easy to clean except the spinning side brush that easily gets stuck (long hairs!)
