I got one, mine was brilliant and no damage at all, But I heard some reviews that some others were damaged as well. What u can do is to place it between 2 books (chunk ones) and leave it there for sometime. Sounds strange but ifbu place it under some weights or like underneath ur bed, it will help too. =) good luck

Q: I want this for school work will it be worth it?

It's more of a replica rather than an actual notebook, you could use it but all the death note rules and the names Light wrote inside, I'd recommend a different one to use as a school work book. Also that is an awesome idea XD
