Very good
So, first things first, the thread DOES NOT fit a standard size drain rod chimney rod set. But, because it's made of plastic, you can "cut your own thread" into it and, with a little effort, I did get it to fit snugly and tightly. The brush itself, yes, it's cheap, and, it's not going to last for years, but, here's the upside, BECAUSE it's so cheap, you won't worry about how long it lasts, just as long as it does the job. With that in mind, I've just finished cleaning our chimney, and, it's a smug fit, which is great, and it certainly cleans your chimney. After a bit of huffing and puffing, hoiking the rods up and down a few times, we now have a sparkling clean chimney. Good things are, it's cheap, it works, it's not much of a hassle to cut a thread into the plastic, and, I'm pretty sure it's not gonna fall off of the rods. I did lose two bristles, but, In the grand scheme of things, I'm not going to worry about that. At under 7 quid, this is a bargain, it's just saved me 45 quid, so it's already more than paid for itself, and, it's still intact, so, there are a good few uses still in it Overall, if you need one and you are happy with a bit of grunt cutting your own thread into the plastic with your rods, you can't really go wrong with this

Just the job
Bought to clear gutters which it does although as someone else pointed out, it does stall a little at the joins on the guttering. It would have been nice if it had had its own pole, so I ended up buying drain rods to attach it to as suggested, to ensure it would have the same thread. Again, that's somewhat problematic because they're bendy so I only worked with 2 joined together. The only pitfall was that some of my roof tiles came down too far which meant that I couldn't use the head in those areas (garage in particular) as it was too high to get underneath. Still better than having to move the ladder so many times and I am sure that I will get better at using it as time passes. Bonus that I could use the head to scrape some of the moss down from the roof although it did not work quite as well at this angle due to it being a drop head.

Scraper
Well manufactured. however would like some indication as to the thread size, to enable a fixing to be added.

Excellent Value and does the job
I bought this at a cost of £2.63 (21/04/2017) through Amazon with it being referred to as an ADD-ON item which applies to Amazon purchases with a value to £20 plus. Strangely all the add on bits arrived today 21/04/2017 with no delivery of the Prime item and it's promised next day delivery promise to amazon prime members. This just reinforces my experiences that the next day promise cannot be relied on. The drop head scrapper screwed unto my drain rods with no problem what ever. The fit was both nice and tight and deep so that I had no fear of the dropper undoing itself in the event that I had to manipulate the rod in an unwinding manner. This is made of what appears to be a decent quality metal. The joins to the screw on head are well made. This item was delivered alongside other purchases in a super fast less than 24 hours from order to delivery. I have had it in my possession for less than 8 hours and having used it at my sons home, have already completed a job and saved a potential fortune OVERALL, very good value, well worth the purchase cost especially as a delivered so promptly item.

Aggressive and effective
I used this on the chimney on my biomass boiler. It worked amazingly well! The only issue I had was with a poor casting on the screw threads, which needed a bit of work with a Dremel to get it to screw onto the rod.

Great Quality Drain Scraper
This Silverline drain scraper is thick metal and has a strong hinge. It's ideal for scraping debris off the sides of a drain as you pull back along it. I'd definitely buy it again! Helpful Hints: 1. Buy this and other drain rod attachments, plus thick long rubber gloves and throwaway overalls. You need the full kit for a drain clearing job. 2. Buy this kit now. Don't wait until your drains have blocked because that is too late. 3. If you've already got drain rods, try to establish whether the thread on your rods is the same as the thread of the attachment, otherwise you won't get a good fit. There are a number of different thread sizes used on drain rods and attachments. Hope this helps :).
