Kidde KS468093 Kl-2S Two-Storey Escape Ladder, Red/White

Bought this to use in an emergency, looks easy to use so should do the trick if ever needed.

A very important purchase for us and we are very happy with the quality and standard of this ladder.

I have only given these 4 stars purely because I have not actually put them to use. Hope I do not have to. The quality is fabulous, well made, sturdy ladders and perfect as an emergency escape route. Husband checked them out to ensure they would fit on our bay window, they do, and said they would be easy to put in place and drop down. They are light and useable. I cannot say more because we have not tried them out, as said. I did a lot of research before buying and felt that these were the best value of all the ladders unless you can afford to spend significantly more.

Having purchased this Fire Escape Ladder in case I might need it for future use in case of Fire Emergency I am not in a position to rate this product for (1) Sturdiness ((2) Ease of Use (3) Value for Money as I haven't used it for a fire escape event.. It would appear that this is ideal in the event of a fire emergency exit from a second floor building or to exit from approximately 13ft. It would appear you just hook it on a window sill/window base and then release the steps outside the building. I hope never to use this product in my lifetime but it brings me comfort to know it is there. I do think it was worth the money I paid for it.

Slid under bed in box all ready to go. I hope it never leaves its box but very happy with the peace of mind. Paired it with a ABC fire extinguisher that we leave in bedroom.

We have single-skin walls, so this item fitted our windows fine. The thickness of your walls needs to be 11 inches or less, according to the instructions. Ours are 10" and it fits fine. Obviously haven't tried to escape with it yet, but on testing the attachment it attaches easily and seems sturdy.

I hope I never have to use this for real, but I am glad to see it will bear my not inconsiderable weight very well. The reassurance possessing this item gives is imeasurable. I have a clear plan - throw the mattress out, followed by the cats, (preferably onto the mattress), then me (down the ladder). It is best to get these things clear in your mind before the necessity!! :-)

I got the measurements wrong if the window sill for the window so had to return the item. However, the ladder felt sturdy and would be safe to use. It was easy to fit the window sill.

Leicht praktisch und bietet Sicherheit.

This is a great safety item to have in case of an emergency and you can’t get downstairs because of a fire. I did not take it out of the box otherwise I won’t be able to put it back in, but I took a peek and it looks very sturdy and it’s made well. I think everyone should have one!

Genial, bien embalada , muy fácil de montar y absolutamente necesaria cuando se vive en una casa con varias plantas. La he probado como indica en las instrucciones y se la ve bien construida.

No la hemos usado, pero por los materiales y construcción se ve que cumple perfectamente con los requisitos de seguridad, y nos ahorramos dinero y espacio porque substituye a una escalera de seguridad metálica.
