I snapped my ACL in my mid 20s. I am now 67. I was then given an ACL repair and decades later, after the repair snapped, I got a full knee replacement. I have worn many the braces over the decades. This particular brace is comfortable, supportive and easy to put on. I don’t normally write reviews, but I felt this product deserves five stars and if like me you have suffered over the years I just wanted to give you the benefit of my experience.

To begin with the support was ok but after a couple of weeks of wearing the stitching came undoabove the hinged support section. I have now stitched it up twice

Recommended by a friend, this is superb! I twisted my right knee about 2 years ago playing badminton and was unable to play for over a year. Then I got this and it had helped me get back to what I love. Although my knee is currently not hurting, I have hyper-mobility, especially in my right knee, meaning it can move too much in the joint. This brace gives my knee much needed stability so I can continue to play badminton with the confidence that it won't twist and tear again!

the product received is not the same as in the photo,there is an extra strap behind the knee,this after a while presents problems,the edges of the strap begin to cut in and irritates as the knee opens and closes ,it's a relieve to get it off and relax the skin,may have to consider wearing a thin sock then attach the support,the principle working of the product is not rocket science,it squeezes everything together not allowing any damaged knee parts to flop around,it does work and is a great help,but not for long periods as the knee will sweat beneath the product,so after a long active period, it's a massive relief to get it off and rest the knee

I have used a mcdcvid knee brace, which was excellent. This knee brace is even better for me for a number of reasons: 1. It keeps my knee very stable. I play racquetball and that is the main time I use a knee brace. When I play, my knee stays right in place and I typically feel no soreness during or after playing. 2. Fits left or right knee. This works great on both knees. 3. Don't get scratched by the velcro. One of my gripes with the McDavid is that if i wear it on my right knee, it scratches up the left knee. This happens because some of the velcro doesn't fit on the strip and just hangs. This thing is designed nicely so that the velcro all sticks on to the brace. 4. Tight or loose. Some days when my knee is feeling sore I will really compress it tight. This allows me to do that just by pulling the velcro straps tight. It stays just fine and doesn't loosen at all. On the flip side I can put on a bit looser when needed. It is quite adjustable. 5. Not a slip on. The brace can be put on and removed with your shoes still on. Several designs don't do that and I understand that it is for the sake of compression and support. Makes sense but this brace still does a good job of maintaining those things while still be capable of being removed with shoes on. 6. Plastic coverings. The metal supports connect at a very solid plastic hinge. The plastic is nice because it doesn't run the risk of cutting up my legs or possibly other people should I accidentally bump into them. 7. Solid construction. I've had this for a few months already and it seems to be holding up just fine to the abuse I'm heaping on it when I play sports and so forth. Thus far, I haven't been able to see any bad things about it. I'll keep an eye out in case something changes my mind.
