Description

An ex-special services veteran (Antonio Banderas), down on his luck and desperate for work, takes a job as a security guard at a run-down mall in a rough area of town. On his first night on the job he opens the doors up to a distraught and desperate young girl who has escaped and fled from a hijacking of the Police motorcade that was transporting her to testify as a trial witness in a briefcase. Hot on her heels is psychopathic hijacker (Ben Kingsley), alongside his resourceful henchmen, who will stop at nothing to extract and eliminate their witness. Review: Watch Banderas kick some baddie a**! - Excellent price for an excellent hidden gem of a film. Just £2.99 from desertcart, they’ve done it again. This type of film has been done before but this is very well made and has a charm of its own. Released to very little fan fare, Antonio is excellent in this film as the hero and so is Ben Kingsley as the protagonist who played Ghandi. Shame it wasn’t given more respect. Only available on SD DVD and in HD digitally here in the U.K. (again £2.99 thanks to desertcart) To get it on Blu-ray you’ll have to import it from Europe or the U.S. I’ve bought both for less than £6 and it’s def worth that price, heck worth it at £10 even fifteen. Loved this film and happy to have it in my collection. The Picture quality is excellent for a DVD. Arrow have done a good job on the transfer. I was a little miffed at not having it available on Blu-ray in the U.K but the DVD does have an excellent Picture. No extras though unfortunately. The U.S and Germany got a featurette on the making of. desertcart.de are selling it on Blu-ray for £9.99 which is a bargain. That has an English 5.1 DTS HD soundtrack. Good film at a good price. Review: Fantastic Movie - The entire movie is fast paced enjoyable to watch so I rated it an A grade plus. Now the action and suspense is killing knowing the baddie Ben Kingsley is not going to give up. Marvellous acting by all, which has you not moving, too wrapped up in the story for anything else. A witness running for her life trusting no one and a man with a bad temper. trying to settle into a new job. Don't forget the popcorn and other munchies so you can try and relax to a fabulous night in with a full on entertainment that holds no bars. Enjoy!
