Leuchtturm 90mm x 150mm A6 Pocket Dots Notebook - Black

I can't fault this notebook. Here's a list of features I found particularly impressive: 1. Paper quality - 80gsm yet ink proof so no annoying bleeding onto other side of page, and silky smooth to the touch. Perfect for fountain pen users! 2. Rigidity - it feels tough and rugged, as it should for something you intend to repeatedly slide in and out of your pocket, and yet feels nice to the touch, almost like leather. It also has a thread bound spine, and reminds me of a hardback book in this respect. 3. Size - not too big and not too small. I've had tiny note books which are too difficult to hold in one hand and write with the other. But it isn't too large as to not fit comfortably in your pocket (although it can be a little bit of a stretch depending on the clothing). 4. Layout and personal touches - it has a contents section at the beginning so you can easily organise different types of notes into different sections, with page numbers as a reference. So far I have categorised three sections; to - do list, things to research, and general thoughts/calculations etc. Of course, it's a little tricky knowing how much space to allocate to each section, but I don't think that matters. They also include labels you can attach to the front and spine of the notebook to further categorise your notes. 5. All of the above for a little of £10?!?!? Brilliant, absolutely brilliant!

I've been getting into "bullet journaling" recently and have tried out the A5 version of this book, which is great but a tad too big to carry around. The A6 size is perfect for me as it fits into my handbag easily without weighing it down or being bulky. It's a little smaller than true A6 which is a bit annoying, not really sure why they couldn't measure it properly, but it's really nice to use and very good quality overall. It has the same index pages and page numbering that the larger versions do, and the hard back makes it easy to write in (unlike the traveller's notebook style I tried before). The paper is lovely and smooth too, and I use it with the Sharpie pens which are perfect for it and don't cause bleed through. You can also buy a matching Leuchtturm pen holder to stick into the back which is really convenient.

Lovely! After my moleskin fell off my table and split in two, I thought that I'd try a Leuchtturm. They are really well organised, with three pages of index, numbered pages so you can refer to the topics that you've covered, light grey grid that doesn't overshadow your work (the moleskine ones can be a bit too dark). An elastic to keep it together, brighter colours than the moleskine, and this travels in my bag, gets jounced, and still survives to see the day. It takes fountain pen ink (I've tried medium and fine nibs by Lamy and the quality is good - but Lamy's nibs write dry, not as wet as the other nibs out there, so YMMV). The book lays relatively flat, so I can get everything in there. If I were to do it all again, I'd have gone for the Leuchtturm1917 over the moleskin to keep my portable spanish notes. I'm rather pleased with it.

I purchased this on the advice of a friend after having a disappointing experience with a moleskine diary and fountain pen ink. I am using this as a memoirs diary and am not limited to a page that a planner type diary gives, at the top of each page is a dedicated place to write the date, with a contents page at the front of the notebook. The pages are fine for use with 'proper' ink and I write with Havana brown waterman ink. There are label stickers to use on the front and back as well as the spine when archiving the notebook. Perforated pages at the rear of the book if you need to write an impromptu list to give someone, as well as a pocket at the rear to put in address book or anything of note. Went for the lime green as a bit of a difference and will be purchasing another when this is full. Still have a moleskine planner diary, but may change that to a Leuchtturm next year. Would recommend to friends, although I know the five year five line Leuchtturm is reputed to have poor paper for fountain pen ink.

Lovely little notebook however I didn't check the dimensions and whilst it is A6 in height it isn't in width, it's way too narrow - I just went by the title description so my fault for not checking before ordering. That said it is a lovely note book and it will get used, it's just not what I thought it was. As always with Leuchtturm 1917 notebooks it is very well made and has good paper.

stylish and well-made notebook that came with labelling stickers. Although the pages are robust and have no bleed-through with fountain pens, the pages are quite thin and see through. I like to write in very dark black ink so it's quite apparent in mine. Photo 2 is page ruling seen through another page.

The "LEUCHTTURM1917 346681 Notebook Pocket (A6), 185 numbered pages, ruled, purple" is available in a few rulings and many cover colours. There are also options with larger page sizes. It is not made immediately clear which paper weight is used for its pages which include a personal and Contents pages sheets to the front; as the paper feels similar in thickness to photocopier paper, it is possibly 70 or 80 gsm and bright white. The main pages are numbered and can be used for notes, as a journal or anything else. A paper folder for receipts or anything else fitted within the back cover. The covers are hard and provide adequate support for writing in the hand if necessary but the book does not open fully flat which can be a potential issue, especially when quite new. If used for a journal, it could cover in excess of six months' worth of daily activities but it can be used for much more. In addition to two matching ribbon page markers, it features an elasticated closure which have been known to detach from similar notepads after repeated use. Bought as a possible replacement for a near-identical product from another European brand although with far fewer pages than this and less fountain pen friendly as the paper permits feathering with some inks and nibs. Leuchtturm's paper is regarded as the best available from any European manufacturer in relation to fountain pen use. It is superbly smooth and is expected to work well with all common nib grades from Extra-Fine upwards; so far, only a couple of Medium nibs were used. It could also be used with other writing implements. If desired, a card-backed pen loop can be added for a slim-line pen of a suitable size. A convenient and compact size notepad that may fit in some pockets but will be just at home in a handbag, messenger or laptop bag or anything larger.

Do I love these notebooks? I should bally well say so! These are my go to notebooks - see my little family of yellow ones? Anyway - I am on leuchtturm number 6 now - I bought my first one to do bullet journaling - the love for the books has lasted, the journaling has not. I have various colours but am hoping the yellow will be cheering this year... I use them for work and at home - I prefer the grid paper but also have dotted... they are a decent, well made ‘thick’ notebook - when you buy them you might balk a little at the price but these babies are built to last and so, yes, good value for money. I think ‘sheer’ means if your writing shows through - I have used fountain pen and biro and both are fine... not sure about a sharpie though...

Well bound and with good quality paper for fountain pen use. No feathering or bleed through with a range of ink and pen types I have tried. Nice additional features for indexing etc

使っている万年筆が大丈夫そうで良かった。塗りつぶしても大丈夫。止める部分とかが濃くなるところとかはあるようだけどそれくらいはよし。 カーボンインクは裏から見て気になる、抜けてはいないけど他のインクより裏から良く見えるし、力の入る部分とか濃く見える感じ。 水彩ペンとか水彩絵の具が使えそうなのが良い、色も裏抜けしないし水分の変なしみもできない。 モレスキンと同じくロットによるのかもしれないけど、とても気に入ったのでまた買いたいな。

持ち歩きのメモ用に購入しました。見た目はとても好みです。万年筆で書きたくてこちらにしたのですが、思っていたより紙に引っかかりがあり、結構滲んで裏写りしてしまった。
