This item is really easy to use, it simply slides through the 'top' of the steering wheel and you then close the locking mechanism around the opposite side, turn the key and it's all done! The yelloe colour makes it a visible deterrent and hopefully another reason for a would-be thief to go and choose a different target instead of yours. It is quite heavy and feels very solid which is reassuring as I would assume it would take a bit of time to cut through in the event that someone tried to remove it. I had to buy this size as I first bought the standard one but it didn't fit my steering wheel without making the horn beep! You can put your car model into the Stoplock website and it recommends which of the locks will fit your car.

This is a really solid piece of kit, giving peace of mind. It comes with 2 unique keys and a code for any replacements. The bright yellow stands out, giving maximum deterrence. To those who have complained the key didn't turn, or that they bent it, it's worth noting that unlocking the device the key turns in the opposite direction to what you would usually expect, it turns clockwise to unlock, so yeah, try that before forcing it.

The stoplock pro elite car steering wheel lock is well made and very sturdy device that is easy to fit on the steering wheel and does exactly what it is supposed to do, and act as a deterant. The only down side is its weight, not as light as expected, otherwise would have given 5 stars

Good sturdy lock, easy to operate using the key provided. Fits a new Ford Transit custom, can't comment on effectiveness as thank goodness we have not been broken in. Colour allows for it to be visible from a distance.

I’ve used these for years, I have the Pro version on my other van so bought the Elite model for my new camper. Having not seen the Elite before the bend in the bar is quite deep and can be a pain sometimes. I’m not sure I’ve come across a steering wheel that this would work like the Pro version. It’s still very secure once fitted so that is not compromised. I would advise looking at both before buying.

J'ai effectué cet achat car j'ai vu que mon concessionnaire BMW utilisait ce modèle pour sécuriser les véhicules qui dormaient à l'extérieur. La canne est facilement visible de l'extérieur et, selon moi, aura un effet dissuasif plus marqué quene pourrait avoir celle qui se place au niveau des pédales. De toute évidence, c'est un produit solide mais pour le 1er placement, il m'a fallut m'y reprendre à plusieurs fois car il est imposant et lourd. J'ai une BMW X6 avec volant sport et palettes au volant. Au début, chaque fois que je le plaçais, la canne reposait sur le levier des clignotants ou se positionnait mal par rapport aux palettes ou au pare brise. En tournant le volant à environ 20 degrés vers la gauche, j'ai finalement trouvé la position qui me semble idéale et le poids de l'engin ne repose plus sur le levier des clignotants; il touche la palette droite mais n'exercice aucune pression sur celle-ci. A noter que compte tenu de la longueur de la canne, il est impossible de la positionner vers la gauche à cause de la proximité du pare brise.

We recently bought this steering wheel lock after having selected it carefully in the very extensive range of locks on the market. It has a sleek design that hooks in easily. With one simple key turn, the lock opens and you hook it across a short intersection of your steering wheel. In case anyone tries to cut the steering wheel, it needs to be cut on at least two spots, because the 2 hooks give double security. At first I was dreading to use this kind of lock but you use it as a bicycle lock, so easy. The yellow color makes it immediately visible to potential thieves. The only downside is that it's a bit heavier than the other locks. However, it's not that heavy that it looses its ease of use. For SUV type cars I recommend buying the elite version. This lock is more expensive than others but it is definitely worth it. I leave my car with peace of mind because I know it's one of the best locks on the market.
