Is it a low viscosity mineral oil? Can it be used for lubrication of hair trimmers/clippers?

Sewing machine oil is a General-All Purpose oil. It can be used on almost anything in your home that becomes squeaky. Inside door henges, outdoor gate hinges, hair trimmers etc. I hope this helps in your quest for an All Purpose Oil.

Does sewing machine oil leak?

I bought to use on all moving parts on my serge machine. Oil only came out when I squeezed or tipped bottle.

I would like to use it on a steel axe to prevent rusting. Is this okay?

Yes, it will protect the blade and metal parts from rusting. The mineral oil will also not oxidize or deteriorate.

Would this sewing machine oil work for slot cars?

Is there any metal to them at all? If so I would imagine you could use it on the metal part to help keep it lubricated, although I truly don't know for sure as I bought it for a sewing machine but it says its oil's are blended from the highest quality high viscosity index solvent refined,hydrorefined 100% Virgin parffinic base oils if that information helps any
