Bought this as a replacement and it fits perfectly on standard 6mm gas hob knobs. Made of plastic but sturdy. For anyone struggling to fit it, make sure there isn’t any metal ring or insert from the previous knob still left on the spindle. I tried a few times and figured out eventually. Once that’s removed, it should fit properly.

When two of my Bloomberg knobs became brittle and started breaking I looked for a replacement set for it, and at £64 for a set of four I may as well have bought a new hob! Decided to try these and they fit well. They don't have the quality look and feel of the originals, but they work well and have given my hob a fresh look. Word of advise would be to check the size of the stem to which they are going to fit onto as there are two different diameters and once you have inserted a particular size they are a awkward to remove.

Do not fit. Smaller aperture is right size but shaft is too short (doesn’t allow for pushing in to ignite gas) AND the shaft falls out of the knob. (The knobs we need to replace included in photo - Bush range cooker). So even if it was long enough we’d be super glueing the shaft into the knob. Waste of money. To return they will deduct £3.35 postage from me (it is an A5 large letter envelope so no way it would cost this to return to seller...) which is half the value of the order. What a rip off. Avoid.

They were a good price, quality not fantastic but fit well and work. As I said you get what you pay for.

DIY is not really my thing and I was about to replace a hob which had 2 broken buttons and one that was stuck I was advised to buy universal ones to replace the broken ones, well after reading the product description I decided to order them and after a few days they came. it took round about 10 minutes to replace all 4 with these babies most the time was freeing up the one that was stuck, now I have a hob that frankly looks as good as new and with the money I saved got some decent Bluetooth headphones in short well worth it easy to install brings new life to the old hob

I did not use for the cooker I used on a blow torch Map gass for soldering as the dial snapped off and uses the same shape spindle

They work, and have now replaced all four of our old knobs. getting the middle bit in in the right notch can be fiddly so the dial is slightly off centre for one of my four and doesnt seem redoable after youve pushed the middle bits in. Possibly more delicate hands than mine could do this better. Visually they look fine, they won't win any awards for style but are functional both practically and visually
