Another Fantastic WEN Product – High-Quality Band Saw at a Great Price!
The WEN 9-Inch Band Saw, 2.8-Amp Benchtop (BA3959) is an excellent addition to my growing collection of WEN products. I’ve become a huge fan of their tools, and this band saw lives up to the high standards I’ve come to expect. What Makes This Band Saw Stand Out: Sturdy and Durable: The build quality is impressive. It feels solid and reliable, making it ideal for both occasional DIY projects and frequent use. Smooth Performance: The 2.8-amp motor provides plenty of power for precise and consistent cuts, even on thicker materials. It runs smoothly and handles a variety of tasks with ease. Compact and Practical Design: The benchtop design is perfect for smaller workspaces without sacrificing functionality. It’s easy to set up and use right out of the box. Great Value for the Price: You won’t find a better band saw at this price point. It delivers high-quality performance at a fraction of the cost of other brands. Reliable Brand: WEN continues to impress me with their affordable, high-performing tools. This band saw is no exception. If you’re looking for a reliable, affordable, and well-made band saw, this is an excellent choice. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants professional-grade performance without breaking the bank.

Great little bandsaw, smooth cutting and enough power
This WEN 9-inch benchtop bandsaw is better than I was expecting. For such a small saw, it easily handles curved cuts in 2" hardwood without any strain. Cuts are clean with the included 1/4" blade, with no burning. Setup was simple - the blade was pre-installed on the saw, with correct tension and centering. The aluminum table required no adjustment - just attach the tilt mechanism and the angle pointer. All in all, I'm very happy with this bandsaw. Like most WEN products, it delivers sufficient performance at a reasonable cost.

Perfect saw for light duty cutting
I just received this little band saw. The assembly took about 20 minutes and I was cutting soon after that. I looked at the Ryobi (at Home Depot), the Craftsman at Lowes and the Harbor Freight saws. This one was the least expensive of them all so I was skeptical about taking a chance (the "you get what you pay for" adage usually holds true). I needed to cut some cherry wood or varying thicknesses (1/8" - 3/4") for a jewelry box I am constructing. I am a retired woodworker who previously owned professional-grade power tools and now I was looking for a saw for my tiny basement workshop for occasional use. My assessment? This is a very nice saw with some nice features and it does the job. In fact, I prefer it for small, delicate, work over my 12-inch Delta! It's construction is sound and for the weekend craftsman, it is a steal at this price. I wouldn't recommend it for the serious DIYer who needs to routinely rip 4-inch stock, but for light duty work, it's perfect. Highly recommended.

Great for a starter band saw!
This is the first bandsaw I've ever owned and was looking for an affordable option to try one out and develop my skills. Right out of the box, it's ready to go. The table surface was a little scratchy, not sure if that was intentional. It took a little finesse to get it level and square to the blade. The black paint on the sides of the miter gauge slots flaked off immediately but that's cosmetic and not a dealbreaker for me at this price. My first cut was smooth and easy, and it's much quieter than I expected (compared to a miter saw/table saw). The 2-1/2" dust collection port is super tight (which is odd, since my WEN belt/disc sander combo port is just fine), but I just used a file to taper it a little to make the connection easier. I used it to cut some maple, walnut and cherry on edge (3-1/4" tall) and it was slow going but I took my time and it did the job. Cutting curves on 1" thickness was extremely easy. It's not too heavy, so it's easy for me to lift onto my workbench when it's time to use it, and put it away when I don't. All in all, a good buy for the price, and a very decent band saw to learn on!

Safe! Accurate
For a compact benchtop band saw, this one really delivers more than I expected—especially at this price point. It’s a great option for small workshops, DIY projects, or anyone getting into woodworking without investing in a full-size machine. Assembly was pretty straightforward, and once set up, it runs smoothly with minimal vibration. The size is perfect for a workbench, and it doesn’t take up a ton of space. Despite being compact, it has enough power to handle light to medium cuts without struggling. It does best with smaller stock and detail work. With the right blade and proper setup, you can get clean, accurate cuts. Like most tools in this range, a little fine-tuning (blade alignment, tension, etc.) goes a long way in improving performance. Pros: • Great value for the price • Compact size—perfect for small workshops • Smooth operation with minimal vibration • Good for light to medium woodworking tasks • Easy to assemble and set up • Ideal for beginners and hobbyists Cons: • Not powerful enough for heavy-duty or thick hardwoods • Stock blade may need upgrading for best results • Fence and adjustments can require fine-tuning • Smaller cutting capacity compared to full-size models Overall: This is a solid entry-level band saw that punches above its weight. It’s perfect for hobbyists, DIYers, or anyone with limited space who still wants a reliable tool. With a little setup and possibly a blade upgrade, it performs really well for everyday woodworking tasks.

manufactured garbage.
I’ve used this for a few months now, and It’s very pour quality. 1. Blade guides don’t adjust 2. The table moves around and goes out of square very easily no matter how much I tighten it down. 3. It can’t even resaw a 2 inch board without the blade wondering so much you have to stop and pull the board out or snap the blade. Over all if you going to cut little shapes out of cardboard I think you would be happy. However if you want to cut wood with any level of precision then your better of saving you money and doing it buy hand than with this saw. This should exist it’s a shame to have wasted the materials and the energy to build and ship it. This thing is bad and its designers and manufacturers should feel bad.

Perfect hobby saw.
After watching many videos on small bandsaws, this one ticked all the boxes. A tad more expensive than some others in the same category. The feature that sold me was the bearings at the blade guides. Made for hobby use for sure, light and easy to move around. It will do most things the home woodworker will be faced with. Ordered extra blades to be ready for the inevitable broken blade on a weekend. Stuff happens.
