Omg, this is great. Perfectly weighted, super sharp, nicely made Japanese carbon stainless steel knife. Highly recommend. Made in Japan...blade is super think and heavy.

The best knife I have ever owned
This knife is so good I ended up buying the whole set. I always get compliments when I'm hosting at first it's the looks and then when I get them to use one how effortlessly they can cut anything. Only had to sharpen this knife once and it's super easy to sharpen and stays razor sharp for a very long time

good solid quality knife and a great gift for a casual culinary user
came back to write another review after a few months of semi casual use. stays sharp for a very long time and still is as sharp as it came. good quality knife that is durable for casual use i can’t speak to its value for someone say a chef or a serial murderer but for the occasional kitchen use for cutting vegetables and meat it’s good value for money

Not as advertised
Be warned, these are not authentic hand forged Japanese knives as they advertise. They are mass produced in china. Out of the box it was very sharp which was great, the balance is also pretty good. The steel though is so insanely soft that I buckled the edge of the blade by merely cutting Rosemary! The knife was a gift so can’t really return it. You can find some authentic Japanese knives for reasonable prices so for me would never purchase this brand of knives.

Absolute pleasure to use
Beautiful knife, pleasure to use, perhaps a bit large for every day use but that’s not a fault of the knife at all. Slight blade warp on the one I got (3-4mm to the left at the tip) but not noticeable in use. Came very sharp and the box and paper sleeve are great for storage if you don’t have a knife rack, very thoughtful to include oil and silica for long term storage too. Grip is very comfortable too, though the spine can be a bit sharp if you like to choke up on the blade with your index finger.

Worth it!
Yep,very good! Got 1 in the kitchen,than order another 5 for the boys. We were all impressed by the atention to details and quality. 5/5 no drama.
