Nice sized water butt for watering the garden and saves me running hose pipes from the front of the house, or the expense of having a tap put at the back of the house. I actually bought a different diverter kit as I wanted it to blend in with my square downpipe, so won't review that. But the water butt itself looks nice and, being slim, it fits out of the way rather than being an eyesore on the patio. It did arrive rather dented thanks to the delivery driver throwing it over the gate! But the dents did pop out easily. The stand fits together easily. It feels a bit flimsy but I'm sure it will be fine when the water butt is filled. The reason I knocked it down to 4 stars is due to the tap which screws in upside down, so the threads haven't been made correctly. The photo shows how it screws in - completely unusable. I have tried to solve it by using the rubber washer that came with the diverter set and it is now facing downwards, so fingers crossed it won't leak!

I am struggling here to limit the amount of good things I have to say about this water butt. I could write a book. This is a lifesaver. Before I used to have to trail through the house, carrying heavy watering cans, it seemed to take forever. I have 7 hanging baskets and umpteen pots and tubs to water. Since getting the butt, my watering time has halved. It's so easy, and never seems to run dry. Collecting the rainwater has a lot of advatages, mainly rain water is better for the plants and most imortantly, it's free. This particukar Butt wad the cheapest Amazon had to offer, and after research, was the cheaoest on the market, and it included free delivery. This indeed was money well spent, and the deluvery wad extremely professiinal. I was sent an email giving me the approximate time and date, then on the day in question, another email wuth a more accurate ETA, even the name of the driver, (Doug). He arrived at the estimated time and even carried around to the back of my hiuse for me. Way beyond the call of duty. This meant that I was able to unpack it ready for my husband's friend Rob to connect it to my drainage pipe . All in all, I am extremely pleased with my purchase. One other thing worth mentioning. Other more expensive butts don't always come with the stand and accessories needed. These you have to buy seperately. This butt came with stand and everything you need to get up and running. Ut took all of 20 minutes to set up. Thankyou Amazon and please pass on my grattitude to the store and of ciuse to 'good ol' Doug. I would indeed highly recommend this product. 10/10

I bought as it is a great price and I wanted to be greener and save on metered water when watering the garden. Naively I assumed, having last seen a water butt as a child in the 1970s, that it would fill up when it rained without being connected to anything. It was therfore a surprise having not read the description fully that you need to connect it to a downpipe and to do that you need to slice through the downpipe, insert the connector and Bob's your uncle. When it arrived and I realised this I looked on YouTube for installation advice and it looked easy. Armed with my branch cutting knife (that I had not used before as I did not have a hacksaw) and my pink women's drill, I could not get the bracket screws out of the downpipe which seemed welded in so decided to cut in situ. Whilst I eventually managed to do this without injury the back part had a big ragged segment after my efforts so was a bit of a palava to get the segment cut straight. I attached it and it seemed ok and after some rain overnight went to check on it paranoid that it had pulled the guttering down. It hadn't and the butt was full but leaking slightly from the hose connections so I went around these with some duct tape and am now surprised at how good it is. It doesn't bulge when full, the warter sinply goes back down the downpipe into the drain rather than into the full butt. The stand does seem a bit flimsy but is holding the full barrel fine and there is no more leaking. I filled up my watering can 5 times today and took the top off the barrel to see how much water is left and still 2/3s full so very impressed and so very glad I persevered with it.

This arrived really quickly, very easy to assemble. Lovely size as its slim line. There is a little bit of leakage if you don’t keep an eye on how much water goes in but overall good quality. I’m impressed with the price and so I ordered another which is due to arrive for placement in another part of my property.

Other reviews have pointed out that the 4-piece stand isn't ideal - you do need to have an absolutely flat surface underneath for it to sit properly. I had to dig the area up a bit and flatten with a spade, so that was a bit fiddly. You are also supposed to use a 26mm (?) drill bit to make the hole at the top for the pipe to connect - who has one of those? I used the largest bit I had, then basically hacked around with the drill and a penknife (!) till the hole was big enough to get the connector through. The last thing that caught me out was when I came to cut the downpipe and realised my hacksaw blade was totally blunted, so had to use a handsaw. It did the job, but the cut wasn't as straight/even as I'd have liked. Luckily the connecting unit covers the slightly uneven lines! These are all installation issues and not really flaws with the rainbutt itself - for the price it's a decent piece of kit, feels sturdy enough now it's in place. The tap went on easily enough (I put a bit of PTFE tape round the thread just to be on the safe side) and it sits neatly by my downpipe in the corner, near my hose connection. Now I just need to wait for it to rain :)

Perfetto come serbatoio, lo si può posizionare ovunque dato l'ingombro limitato e senza usare i piedi in dotazione. Volendo si possono mettere anche in serie. Venditore ECCELLENTE e rapido che risponde e risolve qualsiasi dubbio. Ottimo il sistema per la raccolta dalla grondaia.

He adquirido este bidón para instalar un riego por goteo en las macetas de mi terraza, ya que ahí no tengo ningún grifo de agua corriente y ha sido una muy buena elección, pues el depósito es resistente y de buena calidad. Del precio no puedo decir nada más que es inmejorable, pues no hay ninguno más económico. Respecto al grifo, tengo que decir que no gotea nada en absoluto, debo aclarar que a estos grifos de plástico no se les puede poner teflón ya que eso fuerza los hilos de rosca y puede ser causa de fugas, en todo caso de querer poner algún sellante, debe ser silicona o pasta de juntas. En conclusión, me siento muy satisfecho con el producto.
