great kit great price cheaper than new specs or just as a temp fix til you get to the optician
Rolson Spectacle Repair Kit Sold by: UKDeals Direct Ltd £1.94 I got my last repair kit from them and was so impressed I had no hesitation getting this second one. Ordinarily having to buy one of these is something I take care to avoid but an elderly relative can't help breaking her specs. I've 'repaired' them many times. It's a lot cheaper than insurance and new ones - especially when you know it is only going to be a few weeks or months until the next boo-boo. for tightening the arms or replacing the nose pads this kit is a god-send. YOU don't need any tools - it's all in the kit. The kit is in a little plastic box slightly bigger than an old Englands Glory matchbox (remember those - can you still get them?) the lid is clear so you can see what you have in there. The screwdriver is double ended - that is one end is straight/flat across and the other is crosshead. there is a little sleeve that screws over the end not in use so you can't stab yourself. This screw driver has an optional key ring (included) so you could carry the screwdriver with you at all times if required. there is a rubber washer included for when you attach the key ring to the screwdriver OR as a spare if you lose the washers at either end of the screwdriver for if/when you swap the cap to the end not in use.. Perhaps the best feature for us is the inclusion of 4 nose pads and 8 accompanying screws 4 flat 4 crosshead. These pads are generic and can be used on wither the left or right side of the nose bridge. So you get a lot of replacements from just one kit. The plastic or silicone (im not sure of the technical difference) is nice and soft All in all this kit offers exceptional value for money. (just try buying the silicone nose pieces separately). I'm not sure if the sizes of the screwdriver and screws in the kit fit ALL spectacles out there but they work for all the specs so far in our family, ACID TEST: would I buy again/recommend? Yes I did and have

Basic repair kit, great for emergencies
Great handy little set for spectacle repair. Have used it to tighten my glasses legs and also to replace a nose rest on my partners specs too. Keyring means it's portable, but I haven't used this feature- I just keep it in the cupboard for emergencies. Well worth a couple of pounds, especially for emergency situations if, like me, you can't live without your specs! Maybe have a spare pair to wear while using the screws and tiny screwdriver...

Perfect for the job!
This is a fabulous kit, just perfect for what I needed as fed up of going to the optician to get my glasses tightened up on the arms and around the lenses. The flathead screwdriver is exactly the right size. Definitely worth the money.

Handy, but not universal
I lost a screw out of my glasses frame (Wayfarers) and swooped on this bargain kit so I could repair them. However! I had naively assumed that all screws are created equal. Unfortunately for me, the ones in this kit were too small so it was a fairly useless purchase. Especially as I then went to Specsavers and the nice assistant fixed my glasses for free. It is good to have the little screwdriver on a keyring (Philips-head and normal) for any adjustments on the go - hopefully I'll remember to check my glasses before it's too late in future.

nice little emergency pack all glasses wearers should have...
great idea ...bought this a few weeks ago as we all wear glasses here...theres been many times our screws have come loose and fallen out....then to have an arm fall off when your least expecting it...the small box it arrives in is nice and small for a pocket or a handbag...the piece that goes on a keyring hides two screwdrivers at both ends...i dunno how hardy the screwdriver bits are...but they seem of ok quality...the nose parts are a godsend for me as mine allways come off and it hurts like hell with the metal frame resting on your nose for any long lengths of time.....usually when my screw comes out its too late to tighten it up....all in all i reckon all glasses wearers should have a pack like this ....cos you never know....well worth a purchase.... I enjoy leaving reviews to help others in their purchasing decisions and hope my review has helped today, and if it has please click the "Yes" button below my review. If you have not found my review helpful then please let me know so I can improve my reviews in future...Thank You

Total rubbish
This is total rubbish. I have used several spectacle repair kits in the past with no problems (trouble is I cannot find any of them at the moment, so bought this one). The box is largish and there could have been room for three holes but Rolson decided to put the nose guards in with the screws so we have to scrabble around trying to find them. The screws are all the same size but some have philips head and others are straight. I gave up after I lost two screws trying to put them in my glasses. Packaging is OTT. Do not buy

Avoid. Best thing about it was the screws, the rest is shocking
Practically useless. The screwdriver is flimsy, fiddly and not magnetic. One of the nose pads broke instantly. The cross head part doesn't even fit in the cross head screws provided. After 2 hours I gave up and went searching for my boots glasses care kit that contains an actual metal screwdriver that fit the screws provided with the Rolson repair kit. I'm thankful I found my other set after digging around in packing boxes (moved house recently) because otherwise I wouldn't have been able to see until I could order another set Buy the boots one. Costs a fiver and well worth it in comparison, I would have wanted a refund for this if 1. I didn't need the screws and 2. It was actually worth the postage to return it

The supplied screwdriver was highly desirable.
My wife had accidentally sat on her glasses causing the frame to bend and the glass to fall out. Everything bent back, but when putting the glass back, a screw got lost. In addition, the screwdriver did not fit properly. With the supplied set of screws and screwdriver, everything was ready in no time. I am very satisfied.
