Wiha 70487 Magnetic Nut Setter Set, 6 Piece Metric, Color Coded, 1/4-Inch Hex Drive, Impact Rated

Have been a professional mechanic for 45 years. 20 years as an Aircraft Mechanic, A & P. 25 years maintaining equipment in the microchip manufacturing field, Field Service Engineer. This review is for the Metric nut runners, I also have the SAE nut runners (different review), and a pouch (also different review). Have used these for years at work, my home set was the short ones and missing some pieces, so bought these. They work great. Having the 6" length means not having to hunt down extensions. Love the color coding and the etching of the sizes. Makes it easy to ID the size I need. What is really nice about the marking is the Metric is different than the SAE.

Good quality, strong magnet, works well.

The magnets in the smaller socket sizes are strong enough to hold the screws in place. The larger socket sizes have the same size magnet in them as the smaller ones and can have a little trouble holding the larger screws while positioning them to reinstall.

Just as effective as my other Wiha tools. Color coded, labeled in an easy to read font, strong steel and good oxide coating. Shafts are a good length. Note that these are not hollow shaft nut setters, but I didn't expect that at all. Well worth the money.

I've had the SAE set of these nut drivers for ten years and have found them to be excellent performers in a number of areas (electrical and mechanical). I recently had need for a metric set and went right back with WIHA. These are each six inches long and use a standard 1/4 inch drive. The business ends are sized at 8, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 mm, and use the standard color coding for each size. I haven't had any of the color coding come off on my older drivers, so I expect these will be the same. They are differentiated from the SAE drivers (which have a black finish) by having a silver finish. A good addition to any tool kit
