Switch to Tofu!! It’s worth it!
I have tried clay litter, extra clumping litter, easy “non stick” litter. Litter that claims it’s dust free. I’ve tried organic corn litter because it claimed it was dust free and hey it’s organic so it would be better for the cats right? Dusty!!! And sooooo much tracking. Dusty little paw prints up and down the hallway. Went briefly back to clay looking for something else. Came across pine pellets. Not going to lie they work after you figure out how to “sift”. You cannot beat the cost. Cheapest cat litter. I have cats that will play with anything and the pellets become toys to fling out of the box. Ever step on a pine pellet with bare feet? No fun. But I stuck with the pine pellets because they work and they were great for the budget. Minimal dust. No ammonia smell whatsoever. Just a pine, woodsy scent mixed with the scent of cat poo. Oh yeah! Good times! My cats have gotten older and their paws apparently grew sensitive. So instead of stepping onto the hard pellets in their boxes to do their business, they found alternate ways of doing their business. Some would perch on the edge of the box therefore tipping the box and its lovely contents onto the floor. Others just said I don’t think so and went outside the box. Right outside the box. Basically letting me know, Hey! Hooman! This litter sucks!! Enter Pidan Tofu litter!! My cats love this stuff! I didn’t even have to transition them over! I dumped one box of pellets and replaced it with the Pidan just to see which they would use. They chose the Pidan tofu litter. This litter is easy to clean. Clumps very well. I clean the litter boxes twice a day. Once before work and once after I get back home. Takes me less than 5 minutes to get every box. I have one bag in every box. I haven’t had to add any litter just take out what’s been used with scooping. One bag lasts about two weeks with multiple cats. I have four cats using three boxes because they’ve grown up together and have no qualms about using the same toilet if it is cleaned. And it actuality they are only using two of the boxes now. I have a litter box of tofu litter that’s been used twice. So it’s there as backup if needed. I can’t really say enough about this litter. It’s just that awesome! Virtually no tracking. Just some small itsy bitsy random pellet. If you’ve been on the litter journey and have grown tired of all the b.s. and are looking for something different, something wonderful (especially after non clumping pine pellets), then get off the dusty tracking litter trail and try the Pidan Tofu Litter. It might not be for you but it’s worth it to at least give it a shot.

Great Quality and Affordable!
I like this tofu litter because it undergoes third party testing which places this brand ahead of most. I also appreciate it's affordable prices. The pellet size pairs well with automatic litter boxes. I don't like that the bags seem to run out faster than clay litter or clay tofu mixes. It is a really clean litter for both the floor and box with minimal pan sticking and no dust. I don't notice odor with use, however I place the boxes in a makeshift coat room with the sliding door mostly closed. I look forward to trying the brands Occult Blood Test tofu litter option which offers a more continuous approach to urinary health monitoring. Overall, I trust and recommend this brand.

Very low dust, low tracking, low odor
I have tried a lot and I mean a LOT of non-clay cat litters. Pretty much anything that can be made into litter, I've tried it at least once. I have a favorite litter but the company went out of business years ago. Since its not likely to ever come back, this is now my top choice for litter. My previous top choice, Okocat, hit all the marks but the quality of it changed so the amount of dust and tracking became untenable. After a lot (a LOT) of searching, I came across this and decided to try it. I'm so glad I did! First off, though this is pellets, it's not large pellets like other brands. That makes it acceptable to our cats who hate the larger pellets. It takes a little more effort to shake the unused litter through the scoop, but not that much more than other litters. I recommend a scoop with larger holes. And because it's pellets that are larger than other litter particles, it cuts way down on tracking. I have to sweep around the litter box every other day and once in a while I'll find a pellet tracked into the living room but it's a far cry from my socks picking up sawdust all over the house or thick layers of pine or walnut dust covering everything near the litterboxes. The pellets can get crushed or break apart but any dust as a result is so minimal I have yet to notice after a year of using this litter. Our calico has allergies and this litter doesn't aggravate her sinuses at all, unlike dustier litters we've tried. It clumps urine VERY well. There is some breaking apart that happens but no more than other litters I've tried. It doesn't clump to feces as well but it does desiccate them enough that I don't have a big mess when the Manx decides to eat something she's not supposed to and then has...unfortunate bowel issues as a result. The litter is unscented so there's not much of a smell. When it's first opened, it has a smell that sometimes is like sweetened condensed milk, sometimes like vanilla, it's always a bit different depending on the batch, I assume. It's never unpleasant. It also keeps the cat box smell away to the point we never smell urine and only poo if the Manx has had a particularly smelly session. Once it's covered, the smell dissipates quickly. That being said, there CAN be a smell akin to old cabbage. However, that's only happened if the litter didn't get scooped in a timely manner, I got lazy and the Litter Genie got overfull, or it was a past time to change the litter and clean the boxes. And that is the only thing I would caution when it comes to whether you choose this litter. If you can't scoop every day, if you don't have a Litter Genie or disposable bags you can take out every time you scoop, then this is not the litter for you because you will have that smell of old cabbage or fermenting cruciferous vegetables. We have three high-sided jumbo litter boxes, open top, not enclosed. Two boxes get one and a half bags of litter, the third gets two bags. I scoop each box every evening, takes less than five minutes. The waste goes into a Litter Genie that I usually remember to empty weekly. Once a month I empty out the litter and scrub the boxes, then replace with fresh litter. And we have no cat smell in the house. I am perpetually paranoid that there's a smell thanks to previous experiences with other litters but so far there's been no complaints. One of our neighbors even said "I don't mean to offend you, but why does your house not smell like cats?" so I consider that a good indication that this litter and our setup is working. My one complaint is that the urine clump can stick a bit to the bottom of the box, but it comes up easily with a quick scrape and always comes off when I do the monthly box scrub. And really, I had that same issue with other litters, especially clay, so it's barely an issue. I have not had any issues with the litter turning to sludge, though I can see how that could happen if the box wasn't scooped regularly.

Amazing but just not financially sustainable
I love this litter, like really. The tracking is incredibly minimal, especially in comparison to clay litter, and I rarely ever smell the litterbox except with my kitten poos. It clumps well, making it easy to scoop, but it does sometimes stick to the scooper so it requires some cleaning every once in awhile. I haven’t really any dust, and while neither my cat nor I have allergies, it is still great to keep unnecessary dust away. The reason I’m giving it only 4 stars is really due to the price point, which is a common factor among other’s reviews. I’ve looked into possibly starting to mix this with another, cheaper tofu litter/corn litter to cut down on costs as it takes 2 bags of this to fill my large stainless steel litterbox. I also have to top off the litterbox every week/week and a half, so at the price point it’s just not the most sustainable or affordable option.

1000 Times Better Than Crystals or Powders
Tofu litter is soooo much better than any crystal or powder style we've used. It clumps her liquids perfectly and she has gotten the hang of covering up her solids with it after a couple weeks of practice. My house smells a LOT better. She tracks no dust or yucky clumps around the house anymore and it's completely flushable. I just wish I had known about tofu litter a lot sooner. I'll be starting her toilet training within the next couple of weeks and this will be the litter she uses for that. 10/10. Will absolutely buy again.

I am so glad I got this!
I LOVE this litter!! I'm kicking myself for not finding out about it earlier!! I have allergies & asthma. The dust from litter & the ammonia smell have both always been a problem. I deal, because I love my cats. But I don't have to deal with it anymore. There is NO DUST! NONE! Even when I quickly dump an entire bag, there's no dust! There's no smell! I've only smelled ammonia coming from the back room box where we're using up what's left of our clay litter. I'm cheap & I'd just purchased a 40lb bag of clay litter. But honestly, I'm very close to giving it away & using only tofu in both my boxes. The litter itself does have a smell. It smells like coconut & vanilla. Not sure how long that lasts, because nobody is volunteering to stick their face into the cat box to test it. It clumps & absorbs really well. We've had no problems with it falling apart. There is a tiny bit of tracking, but nothing compared to clay litter! With my old litter it was all through the house, even on my bed! With this litter there is a little bit that ends up on the mat in front of the box but that's it. My cats took to it right away. I've heard people say their cats didn't care for the new shape or texture. All 3 of mine were fine. In fact, the only problem I had when I put this litter out for them was that they thought it was a treat & they were eating it instead of pooping in it. (It was also a new & different looking litterbox, so I'm cutting them some slack for their confusion.) Once we sprinkled a very thin layer of our old kind of litter on top of the tofu litter, they figured out what they should be doing It's more expensive than clay littler & as I said before, I'm kind of cheap. So believe me when I tell you it's absolutely worth paying the extra money! Just stop thinking about it & try it already! You can thank me later.

Best Cat Litter I've Found
I've tried basically every litter possible trying to get my 3 cats to not spread crums and dust all around the house and this one is the first one that ACTUALLY doesn't track. Maybe like a few pellets outside the box, but no dust anywhere. It smells great, it completely hides the smell of the cats, and not in a chemically smelling way like most anti-odor products. It's pretty expensive but you can see the price before purchasing so I don't really factor that into review. This litter is the best, I'd recommend it to every cat owner

Odor control not great
This smells great out of the bag . Such a nice interesting smell. But odor control isn't great. I have an air purifier and moisture collector next to the litter box and I can still smell it. Clay litters have much better odor control but I can't have my cats inhaling dust. No one should be having their cats inhale dust. This is No dust and clumps very well. Super easy to scoop. I will repurchase. But it's extremely pricy so I'll have to mix it with something else. I have a large 24"x24" high sided litter box and needed 4 bags to get it appropriately filled and am needing another bag every 10 days or so. I have 3 cats though.

Great litter
I live in a condo and this litter absorbs all oders, makes the box easy to clean because it clumps together well and it’s easier to sweep up than the clay litter because the pellets are bigger and less dusty

Katzenstreu ohne Staub

Brilliant odour-free clumping
Fantastic product, clumps brilliantly and much quicker to remove soiled litter whilst proving to be completely odour-free i.e. no smell of ammonia. It seems expensive and we’re still transitioning so yet to see if this is an economical litter choice in the long term with two cats. They did actually show interest in eating it at first so for now we’re mixing in some of their old litter which has put a stop to the issue for now at least! But so far so good.
