Game changer, excellent shower, cheap but effective
Oh wow, what a game changer this shower is. It's champagne for Tizer money. My crappy electric shower had terrible pressure, but the hot water from the tap comes out nice and strong so I thought I'd give this a go. It's really effective, easy to fit, attaches to any standard shower head, so I've got my old one, with 4 different settings, rather than decent but the basic one ptovided. I had to use my own shower hose for it to fit in my existing shower riser rail, but only because I didn't want to change the riser for the one provided. Just because I couldn't be bothered to. Took aboutv 5 mins to fit and what a huge improvement up my bathroom. Such a great shower now, using my tap pressure it's like a posh power shower strength and doesn't pop off the taps at all. It's absolutely brilliant. I never wrote reviews unless stuff is rubbish but I'm making an exception this time because this product will help people on a low budget who want a luxury shower experience. Everyone deserves a decent shower.

Works well!
It really works! I have moved into a rented flat that doesn't have a shower installed and it was great to find a solution that works. I followed someone else's advice here to apply some hair conditioner to the taps before fitting the accessories and it was pretty easy. The shower holder is a little flimsy, which worked in my favour as I can't drill the wall, so I easily attached it with a little square of 3M strong double sided adhesive squares. The shower head is small but effective, it has good pressure and a decent shower. Very pleased with my purchase.

Great product
This is a great product! For years, I could never find a shower to properly fit my taps as they are quite small. I wasn't sure if this would fit them, but I was pleasantly surprised when it did! No leaks at all. Very easy to attach. I didn't install the shower bar as I already had one and this one fitted on it perfectly. I did use my old shower head as the one that came with this product has only one setting, and my old one I can change. That was the only reason I didn't give 5 stars. Great shower.

Lovely shower head.
Very good shower attachment which attaches to the taps. This is the second one I’ve bought and I give I recommend it.

Not ideal
Wouldn’t fit on tap at all! Even after soaking in hot water and using soap to try to force it on. Couldn’t use the ends at all and no idea how anyone has managed it, the rubber is so stiff. Giving 3 stars as the rest of the product is good and after buying a separate shower diverter valve we could at least attach it the bathroom sink tap.

Top notch, so happy.. Instructions how to fit... *update score reduced*
**update 13.02.2014** The clips that secured the velcro straps around the taps have snapped, rendering the product completely useless because the pressure from the water pushes the hose mounts off the taps. I contacted croydex directly who were quite frankly completely obnoxious and informed me that this product HAS NO GUARANTEE. Please bear this is mind before you buy, all i asked for was 2 replacement clips, i even sent a photo of the damage, but they were not interested, and sent me this email response "Good Morning, Thank you for your email. I am sorry to hear you have had a problem with this product. The product does not come with any guarantee and should a problem arise the contract of sale is with the place of purchase and that is where a refund or replacement will be processed." i replied querying why it wasnt on the product information that this came with no form of guarantee and this was her response "Thank you for your response. NO, there is no guarantee with the product, the contract of sale is with the place of purchase and this is who would deal with any problems." As a result of this i would never ever buy another croydex product ever again and am reducing my score to 1 star to reflect this. **end of update** I moved into a new house a few months ago, and it didnt have a shower, i was pretty gutted to say the least and 3 plumbers all quoted me over £750 to have one installed and i couldnt afford it. I bought a cheap hose spray originally but you had to sit in the bath to use it, and only very randomly did i come across this, and only by typing in the company name in the search box. I bought it on the 4th septemer at 11.30pm and got it on the 7th september, now bearing in mind i live in a rural village in the cotswolds, thats excellent service for amazon so thankyou. Anyway the shower itself, im not dumb by any means but there were no instructions in the box, now the supplier might cockily think that it isnt necessary but trust me it is, so i shall share my experience. There are 6 washers, 4 small and 2 big. There is a grey t joint, 2 rubber tap joints, a shower head, 2 small silver hoses and a big silver hose. Take 2 of the small washers and insert into the end of the small hoses, be careful and screw them onto the ends of the grey t joint. Then take the other 2 small washers and fit into the opposite ends of the hose and attach them to the rubber tap joints. I was convinced mine didnt go on properly as the rubber mounts kept twisting but its to allow the hose to move. At this point fit the rubber mounts onto the taps, again no instructions, but undo the velcro, pull out the strap and fit behind the tap, then pull the velcro straps and tighten around the back of the tap. Once both are securely in place, turn on both taps one at a time to ensure there are no leaks. Take a big washer and fit it into the end of the long hose and attach one end to the remaining port on the grey t joint, now test again, at this point i discovered there was a leak on that joint because bizarrely it was on the wrong end, even though both ends are the same size which is odd, so if this happens, just undo it, put the washer in the other end of the hose and hand tighten, then test, voila no leaking water. Now get the last big washer, put in the remaining end of the long silver hose and attach to the white shower head, now test again with both hot and cold water. Mine worked perfectly now. Yay.. Now for the hard bit, because you have no instructions you are unsure what hole size to drill, you will need a 6mm drill bit, however the rawl plugs provided will not fit so you will need some different ones, luckily i keep plenty in my tool box. If you drill the hole any bigger the screws will not fit so be careful. Take the covers off the end of the riser rail and you will see the holes, mark the wall where you need it to be and get your drill. Please fit the shower head into the bracket on the riser rail when doing this as you need to make sure that the hose is long enough to reach where you want the riser to be, you may need to adjust the placing of the rail to adjust for this. Remove the shower head from the bracket now and place gently in the bath. Using a 6mm masonry drill bit, drill the holes and put in the rawl plugs. Place the riser rail above the holes and screw in the screws. Replace the white covers on the ends. Attach the shower head to the bracket on the riser rail and test again. Yay perfect working shower. I have uploaded a picture of it finished in my super tiny bathroom. I am however very happy as i hate baths. Thankyou Croydex !!

Worth showering with praise
This Croydex unit costs quite a bit more than the old-fashioned items like we used to have to stick onto our sink taps when I was a kid. About three times the price in fact. But seeing as how those ones were never much good, and the Croydex had such good reviews, and bearing in mind that I was seeking a solution to last a while, since my shower is out of action for a couple of months until I can get some major electrical work done, and baths are so much more time consuming, I decided to take a chance and go for it. Good decision. The quality of manufacture is a world away from the cheapo versions, and the length of the hose is plenty to reach the full length of the bath and up to my full height so I can still stand behind the splashscreen. The clever tap-straps allow for a strong flow of water without the risk of the rubbers flying off the taps like the cheap versions do, resulting in a properly powerful shower. And not a leak in sight anywhere along the length of the unit. As it's a temporary arrangement I haven't bothered with the riser-rail, the shower-head hooks nicely onto the hanging hose of my currently inactive electric shower, and that arrangement is fine for now. Assembly of the unit is easy following the clear instructions, and wouldn't even be difficult in their absence. As some have pointed out in earlier reviews, getting the rubbers onto the taps is the only tricky part, they are quite strong and inflexible. I solved the problem by smearing a layer of sexual lubricant onto each tap and around the rim of each rubber, and they popped on without any further struggle. Handy stuff for all kinds of diy! Personally, I'm going to leave them on all the time, so as to preclude any possibility of loosening up, though I've no reason to believe that would happen, I'm just being extra cautious. I would just mention also that I selected a water-based lubricant, firstly to be sure that it didn't have any adverse effect on the rubber, and secondly because it would be completely washed away as soon as the water passed through, ensuring it didn't cause slippage in use. To conclude, this Croydex shower spray is well worth the premium over the basic versions, because it actually does the job required of it and doesn't fly off the tap leaving either freezing cold or scorching hot water pouring over the user, and it feels like it'll stand the test of time too.
