Henry Goodes Soft Eating Liquorice 140 g (Pack of 6)

I love liquorice and I love aniseed. My problem is that all the liquorice that I’ve tried so far (and, believe me, I‘ve been sampling the stuff for many, many years – since the 1940’s, in fact) either tastes like dark treacle rather than liquorice, or it has no aniseed, or it’s too hard, or it’s too soft, or it’s just cloyingly, stickily sweet. Well – Henry Goodes liquorice approaches perfection. It tastes of liquorice, not dark treacle; it’s soft but not too soft; it’s sweet but not too sweet, and there is a genuine whiff of aniseed. If I were to be ultra-picky, I’d have to say that I’d prefer a slightly stronger whiff of aniseed, and I’d prefer slightly less sweetness. But that’s just my own pernickety taste buds. This is still very nice liquorice – in fact, it’s so nice I’ve had to hide the bags in the garage to stop me gobbling the lot in one afternoon of glorious self-indulgence. The packet isn’t re-sealable – but who needs to re-seal it? Just chew and revel in it. I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to try Henry Goodes liquorice, but I’m very glad that I finally did. I'm a real liquorice fan and I tried this brand when I was over in the UK by chance. I loved it so much I buy it in bulk now and get it shipped over to Ireland (just to have a stash for when I get the nibbles). Delivery of the parcel is excellent and the quality of the liquorice is fresh and tasty. The packaging keeps the liquorice fresh and the nutritional information is very informative. Thanks for a great product and service

Vegetarian liquorice that you seem to be unable to get in supermarkets now. Most places have replaced it with an inferior product that has gelatine in the ingredients. Great that you can still buy this product online.

I bought the henry goodies licorice as I have got them for years at another source They were a pound a bag as these were supposed to be and the bags have a pound also on the bags so why did they cost nearly 15 pounds for only SIX bags I will not recommend them to any one for that reason

Thought we were getting a reasonably good deal here, but went to shopping yesterday before all the red snow; even tho sons out in it; lets pray that he'll stay safe-—he's a sensible lad, so I know he wont do anything stupid n beyond him!! Well! When I was in Sainsburys yesterday, I nticed these were only £1each for same amount 200g, so got amazon to refund me the difference. You really think you are buying cheaper on amazon, but as the rep said, they dont do price matches unlike the stores do unfortunately.

I highly recommend these if you like liquorice! They taste great, are easy to chew on but not too soft and most importantly no harmful chemicals. Only downside is that I can't get enough of them:(
