Haven't used that combo personally, but I've read very good reviews on the 24-70 on the a7iii

Does this adapter have a tripod thread?

No it doesn’t, but the fotodiox one does. However, having owned both, the sigma one is far superior when it comes to auto-focus. However, the auto-focus when shooting video doesn’t work on either adapter.

Will this work with the sigma 150-500mm?

You can check all lenses what will work on sigma site but any way it will work for sure but dont know if all functions like eye focus and etc will work
