Review: Exercise was never this much fun - I have a few quibbles with the game, but let me summarise it this way: I enjoy Wii Zumba so much, I've stopped finding reasons not to exercise! I easily do 3-4 hours a week because it's so much fun. Let me get the down-sides out the way first: - There are some irritations with the graphics - they can make it hard to see what the instructor is doing. - And with the instructions - they're very subtle hand gestures by the instructions, as there's no spoken instruction. - And the warm-up for the Beginner & Intermediate launches straight in, i.e. you need to warm-up beforehand! (The Expert warm-up is fine.) - There's only one cool-down for Beginner & Intermediate, so I got bored of it v quickly. (The Expert cool-down is good.) - There's some moves which are very impactful on the knees: I don't do any of those. You might want to watch out for them and do something else. - Sometimes the routine hits high intensity and then quickly drops back to a very slow move: I do my own moves to keep-up the intensity - I'd done a fair bit of Salsa/Merengue/Samba/Dancehall classes & DVDs, so I got bored with Beginner after the first time, and Intermediate after four times. I set it on Expert Hard for more of a dance challenge, the workout intensity felt enough at all the levels. Now for the good stuff: - Did I mention how much fun it is and how I don't feel I'm exercising? I'm just having fun, so I love doing it four or five times a week...sometimes more. - It's absorbing, so I don't think about work, etc, while I'm doing it, making it a great break from life! - The music is 90% very enjoyable, just one or two tracks I don't really like. - The steps are fun and creative - if you've done any Salsa/Merengue/Samba/Dancehall/various African dances, you'll feel right at home. (And if you haven't the tutorials take you through it all.) - The work-out time whizzes by as I dance (and sing along!), whether I'm doing 20, 45, or 60 minutes. Overall, the game cost the same as doing four Zumba classes, and so far I've played/danced this game about 32 times, so it's very cost-effective. When I've unlocked everything and all the routines start to feel familiar, I'll be getting Zumba 2 as well. Review: good game/workout - so far i have found this game to be very good! i tried it out on the beginner level with a 20 minute session and found i was sweating by the time i was finished! i'm quite pleased i bought this having bought it on a whim im quite pleased with it. i do normal zumba in the gym and thought this would be a good idea for those days when i cant make it, it has good music and easy to follow routines (once you get the hang of it) ive not yet worked my way up to the intermediate or advanced but am definitely looking forward to them! you have the option of doing just one or two dances or however may you want or have time for, it also gives you excellent tutorials for the dances which helps you get the hang of them and the moves a lot faster! ive used other wii fitness/workout games before but have founds this one to be the best over all i would recommend this as i do feel like ive had a bit of a work out!

So much fun I have a new found love for exercise!
Exactly what I said in the title. I ADORE Zumba. I usually don't like exercise and can't find the motivation to so do it but when I bought this game I have had difficulty getting off it. I was ill last week and kept throwing up so wasn't able to do Zumba and it was horrible. I was missing it so much. The songs are catchy and the dance moves aren't that hard. I did the Zumba dvd before doing this game so I knew the basics already. The belt fits around my waist perfectly. I would put it on my hip but because my body is quite curvy it just keeps sliding up to my waist. The wii-mote goes into the belt with the buttons facing outwards and the on button at the top (so the sensor is poking out of the belt.) I put it in the wrong way round at first and it kept saying I was missing the moves. I got really irritated and so I tried it with the sensor pointing up and it works perfectly now. I'm constantly getting 5 stars on the dances. Seeing *Zumba!* in the corner telling me I'm doing well is a great motivation. There's a section were you can track your calories burnt, technique, how long you have played and your weight. I have been getting all my friends to do Zumba and they love it too. I seriously recommend it to everyone. I don't like salsa music and the stuff I thought I would hear on this but there are so many good songs. If they bring out a Zumba 3 I will be preordering my copy ;)

Great game!
I've been to the zumba classes but I always wanted the convenience of having the game at home. Then my friend told me that there had a wii game and I bought it straight away! and i do not regret it! It is sooo fun yet intense but it definately gets the body moving. The belt sometimes slips off so it's hard to detect movement but once it's on properly, it detects you movements well

i hated that i was being watched
I took a single Zumba class in my local childrens centre,i hated that i was being watched,i have two left feet which didn't help at all and so i left feeling embarrassed and discouraged.I saw an advert for this and decided to give it another try as i might feel better and more comfortable doing it in the comfort in my own home with no one around to watch my jiggly bits and bobs.I had such a great time and i didn't care when i got the steps a bit wrong.I soon invited my sister over and we had a bit of a Zumba party together,i was happier dancing with her as we looked just as silly as each other and we had a lot more fun. I started with the easy level and beginner mode with a 20 minute routine, after a week or so i decided to move up to the 45 minute routine which had me sweating even more.Every now and again i push myself to the next level just for a change.I really enjoy Zumba now. I know it comes with the belt to hold the wii remote in but to be honest i don't use it,it is generous and fits around my waist but i usually just hold the remote in my hand instead.

DO NOT BUY THIS VERSION. ZUMBA 2 is out and a million times better
OK, it's fun, it's a good workout and it certainly breaks out a sweat. But what on Earth were they thinking when they did the graffics and laid out the menus?!?!!! Absolutely AWFUL!! We have a 50" screen and I have better than 20/20 eyesight, yet I can barely make out the writing because the original is obviously too small and therefore distorted regard. And why oh why aren't the routines set out in level of difficulty and type of dance? They don't even follow one another on the screen; they're all over the place. Surely even just putting all the beginner classes together, followed by the intermediates and so on. Also, why am I spending aaaaaaages doing the really easy steps, but then when it gets to the more complex ones you get 2 or 3 goes and then the class ends? Very bizarre. It's brilliant fun if you can put up with the complete lack of organisation and lack of detail, but I really think this was rushed or even the trial version sent to the manufacturer's by mistake! If you fancy a bit of Zumba, then this will do the trick, but come on Zumba people... pull your fingers out and give us a better product next time! UPDATE DEC 2011: Zumba 2. OH... MY.... GOD!!!!!!! You HAVE to get this!!! It is AMAZING! I had the first one which was good for a bit and then I got a bit bored with it because it was hard to navigate, the graphics were apalling and it was, in a nutshell, cap. But Zumba 2.... this is absolutely BRILLIANT!!! The tunes and graphics are fab, the moves hot. Just when you feel you can't take anymore a thumping bass line kicks in that gets you going again. I've just done 25 minutes on it; by the end of song 3 my heart rate was at 171, at the end of song 4 at 180 (I'm surprised I'm still alive!) and then maintained at 171 until the end of the 25 minutes. Jillian Michaels move over! This is a full body workout that's FUN FUN FUN and teaches you some badass moves for the dancefloor! DO NOT, WHATEVER YOU DO, BUY THE FIRST VERSION which you are viewing right now!! It is no where near as good as Zumba 2 and if you get bored of Zumba 2 and are looking for some variation with the first version, forget it.

Zumba Crazy
I bought this game as I've always wanted to try out Zumba but the classes I have looked into didn't fit in with my lifestyle. I think it is amazing, it allows you to work on steps beforehand in the tutorial if you have never tried Zumba before, such as myself. And the beginners routine is great as it goes at the pace suited to myself and will allow you to build on this and move onto the next stage. I love the energy it gives me once I've done a routine and you can set up routines to fit into a workout calender so you never miss any classes. My daughter watched me for the first time last week and said it seems fun so we are going to do routines together to help her chill and relieve stress and relax during her exam period. Great, go out and buy and save money on classes.
