Great machine - easy to setup and use
Great machine - easy to setup and use. Results appear reliable and will check again in about months. They seem to be in line with reading from full blood test taken about a year ago (presuming things haven't changed dramatically). I am using this as a general health check and if result were untowards I would have a full test to be sure. Very useful to have the seperate HLD and LDL reading as many other machines just give a total which does not gie proper pictureOnly issue is collecting enough blood for 3in1 test; need a fair bit to fill capillary and ended up wasting one data stick. Supplied lancet was barely sufficent to fill half required volume I found it better to use a seperate lancet that makes a deeper prick to get sufficient blood sample.

You can not purchase extra strips.
The machine is great if only you could purchase the extra strips needed.

Nice piece of kit and convenience of home testing (see updates)
Have used this for taking four samples so far (1 per 2 weeks). I failed due to insufficient sample extracted. The volume of blood required seems quite a lot, and if you're not prepared, it can all get a bit messy. However, with more experience and expectation of the amount of blood needed, I am now getting full set of results (albeit not what I'd like to see !).What I'm not sure about is how frequent the device needs to be calibrated with the suppled 'Control' strips ? An answer from the Supplier on this would be helpful please.Test strips are expensive at about £3.50 a go, so you need to make sure you follow the instructions to the letter to prevent costly waste !I did found the 'one shot' lances a pain and wasted most of them and the Capillary Transfer tubes. I resorted to a resettable 'shot' lance to get enough blood & bought more Capillary tubes. How accurate it is I don't know but seems to be close to the starting value I had from a pucker blood test.I'm looking for a downward trend in CHL & increase in HDL & the Triglyceride to reduce - hence the regular monitoring at home whilst trying to improve on eating habits !20 Dec 17 Update:Supplier responded to my question re. frequency of calibration. This is their feedback,"You can use control strips to check the Mission 3in1 meter once you notice that your results are not coherent with the previous or the expected ones or whether they are out of the theoretical range of the device. Therefore, there is not a real frequency indicated by the Manufacturer.Anyway, you can use control strips for a "quality control" of the device whenever you want".Due to the cost of a potentially inaccurate result, I think I'm inclined to calibrate the device on each use as I only take a sample every 2 weeks.27th Feb 2018 Update by CustomerSo .. I've just taken my 10th sample since purchasing the unit (about 4 moths) .. and have some feedback. After my initial inexperience and surprise at how much blood is required, I have not had any sampling failures for a while. The results are interesting, showing a bit a peak at Xmas !! .. but settling back to the trend I'd hoped for (with dietary changes only).I have also had two serum tests done at the GPs so have a yardstick to compare results.Overall, my Mission sample results have been higher than the GP test results by between 10-20%. However, the CHOL/HDL ratios have been more representative and show a reasonable trend, so this is what I would go by.I think it's worth monitoring but don't get hung up on the result details .. its the trend you need to analyse. Here's my last Mission vs GP results:13/02/2018 15/02/2018 (GP)CHOL 6.83 5.40LDL 4.11 3.40HDL 1.40 1.22TRIG 2.91 1.80CHOL/HDL 4.90 4.43I will continue my fortnightly checks.

Good Product but was missing all the lancets.
Well built product and Instructions very clear. In my box, there was NO lancets. The picture shows 5 pinks ones.A friend of mine gave me some lancets and I eventually used the device. The first time the result displayed on the screen was E-5 which not doubt was an error of some kind. With a bit of searching, it seems that it was related to the sample. The second time I tried the device provided the results for Total, HDL, LDL etc. No idea how accurate it is but time will tell as I am due for full bloods at the GP next month when I will try the device straight after to compare.

Great device, easy to use.
Great device and provides exactly the tests I needed. I've just started using the device and done a couple of tests and I found these were pretty straightforward after reading the manual. I also monitor my own INR levels so I'm used to using a pen lancet to get a blood sample, but the process is a little different for this 3-in-1 cholesterol test as more blood is required and it recommends discarding the first drop. I found the micro pipettes supplied easy to use, but used my own pen lancet as I'm used to using it. The results obtained were consistent with recent repeated laboratory tests. I think it will be a useful device to monitor my lipid levels at any frequency I choose and I plan to share the results with my doctor.

inaccurate results
The product works as described. However, the results are vary greatly from that done at GP surgery or hospital, when done at the same time (readings vary by +-20%). There is no consistent offset between the 2 sets of readings, hence it will not give you an accurate reading of HDL,LDL, triglicerides. However, if you just use this device to measure your cholesterol, i guess you can use it to see if you cholesterol is going up or down.

Decent product.
Took me a few goes trying to draw enough blood and wasted a couple of test strips. If only I had read the instructions! I recommend learning how to use a capillary tube to draw blood on YouTube first and also change the units to UK. In terms of accuracy the total cholesterol matched the doctor. Triglycerides also matched. But the HDL 1.5 from lab versus 1.0 on the machine. And equally off on the LDL. I am not sure if the difference is down to touching skin when drawing blood. My blood seems to pour out of my finger rather than form nice globule like the videos. In any case will continue to compare doctors results and this device and accept the difference as this is simply a reference tool. The settings on the device are not at all intuitive and I haven't figured out how to use the memory function. That said, I wonder if I'm only testing once a month if the batteries will leak so have removed one of them in between. Now I have the device my doctor shy extended family members are in trouble.I had to buy a pen Lancet as the kit only comes with 4 disposable ones and I had to buy more capillary tubes.
