What is it like dehydrating meats . Cheers

Used mine for three months to dry raw meat for dog food before it broke. It felt really hot during the drying process - you use the hottest setting for meat. I used it for ten hours each day during daylight for three days. It dried the meat but eventually the plastic bottom developed a large crack and grease seeped through staining my granite worktop. Trying to get assistance from Excalibur was impossible - the warranty isn't worth the paper its written on. Buy a stainless steel one - you can get a different brand with more shelves made of stainless which will be more durable. This one is rubbish.

What is the warranty for this ?

5 Years home use, 1 year commercial use.

Description says "Clear door to easily view drying progress" - but the photo shows a solid black door. Is it see-through or not?

Ours is definitely not see through. It's black like in the picture.
