Better than expected - Sheath isn't perfect though.
The knife is excellent for this price. 440C Steel is good, it's certainly not a 'super steel' and the price reflects that reality. It's an attractive, high carbon steel which is very hard and sharp, but it can be a bit brittle so I wouldn't do a lot of prying or torture tests with it. Mine was very sharp out of the box. The top edge will be perfect for fire rods. Small nit-pick item - the belt clip is a bit weaker than I'd like it to be. I have lost knives before when they don't solidly grip your belt and I believe that is a risk with this design. My picture illustrates this. I will likely find a leather worker to make me a proper sheath, or I won't carry it on my belt in the field if I'm in the trees- but again for the price I'm not complaining. If you own any mora knives, the sheath is very similar to those. I liked the knife enough that I bought a second one for my father in law after mine showed up and it would make a good gift I think and should have no problem handling light and medium camp / bush crafting tasks. I actually am considering getting a 3rd one for my tackle box or truck (orange this time). If you want to spend more than 50, you can find a better steel, but at this price point it gets 5 stars and I'm very happy with the purchase, and I don't give a lot of 5 star reviews.

Perfect work knife and daily carry
I’m a mechanic and use blades daily — cutting hose, zip ties, insulation, packaging, gaskets, and random debris. I prefer a fixed blade that can slide in the back pocket while clipped to my belt, this one is super comfortable in that orientation, It fits the bill! The grip is rubber but sturdy (very comfortable btw) making it feel solid even with greasy or wet hands, and the sheath isn’t flashy but keeps it secure and accessible. I’m not out in the wild trying to survive off the land, but for shop use, truck kits, or glovebox carry — this knife earns its spot. At $17(W1 sheath), it punches way above its price point. Honestly, I wouldn’t cry if I lost it — but I’d buy it again without hesitation.

Get one now!
Fresh out the box I abused it with batoning it and then turned around and used it for more delicate tasks of cutting up meat and such. This thing has a nice trippy handle, full tang, edge retention, and is super cheap. The blade design is great for a ton of nice tasks and the jimping on the thumb area gives you some nice control. I love the stonewash look and the sheath is plastic but nice for bad weather. It's a cheap knife but any knife is great when you take care of it. This one will take minimal care and still be a good knife. Love it Update: I abused it too much and busted the blade in half, honestly it wasn't the manufacturer at fault it was me being a dummy. So now I included a pic of a breakdown of the internal handle. Full tang baby! And I ordered another to be nice to. Two sheaths now on the bright side lol

Excellent blade but the sheath needs work
***UPDATED*** I really wish I could rate this better, the blade itself is excellent. It is sturdy, comfortable, and well balanced. My problem, however, is with the sheath. It is designed to be slid onto a belt without having to remove the belt so the loop is open at the bottom. It does not stay on the belt and can easily be pushed off. I only had the blade for a week and it got pushed off my belt somewhere and have been unable to locate it. If the sheath was designed with a closed-loop it would be a definit 5 star without thinking twice. But a blade that can not be securely attached can not be relied upon, I hope it turns up somewhere. -Update- After getting a second blade, I took the time to close the bottom of the belt clip on the hulster using some wire and it has been the perfect blade. It keeps an edge extremely well and holds up to all kinds of abuse. I hope they some day change how the holster is designed so it doesn't come off the belt, but in the mean time, modifying the holster is a small issue compared to the quality of the blade. I am very satisfied.

Handy field knife gets the job done!
I heard of Odenwolf from reviews online. I bought this knife during Prime week so any field knife under twenty is a good deal IMO. I tested it and it arrived razor sharp in box. 440C Steal isn’t my first pick but it was a good deal and I wanted to try them out. I’m very happy with this blade. This is a well made, balanced, durable and handy field knife. Handle gives you a nice firm grip, not too big. I have a few combat knives but sometimes I like to travel light during day hikes. This knife is an excellent option when I’m hiking through my local canyons and hills. I’ll definitely purchase more knives from Odenwolf.

Awesome!
The blade is awesome! It was the first knife that I bought from Amazon that actually came razor sharp and can shave hair. The knife is also the best design for getting a spark from a used ferro rod. Because of the ridges on the spine you’re always able to get a spark. Even 1095 steel with a sharp 90 degree spine struggles with used ferro rods. But the Odenwolf is a champion who can guarantee a spark every time. It’s better than 1095 also because it won’t rust on you. I have a PKS wildcat that I spent $150 on and it rusted and didn’t have good edge retention either. 440c has good edge retention and good corrosion resistance. The sheath is real secure and it is not bulky like other sheaths and fits perfectly in my pocket. It’s my new everyday carry.

Over the top QUALITY
Truthfully, I have a prejudice for German-made products. So, when I saw this was German made, I already knew it would be decent quality. Furthermore, wolves are my favorite. So, this is a homerun in my eyes before I even broke out the debit card! In my opinion, this knife is worth 3x what the manufacturer is asking. I'm a hunter, fisherman, all around outdoorsman, as well as a military buff, prepper, and even an airsofter. Needless to say, I own many, many knives; some decent, some complete garbage. This one, though, instantly became one of my favorites, if not taking over the top spot. The blade goes through the handle making it solid with no concern of separation or breaking. The balance is absolutely perfect. The other thing I love is, it holds an edge. There's no need to sharpen this after every use. The handle is comfortable and allows the user to maintain a firm grip without hand fatigue. Worth every penny. I would recommend this knife (and have) to anyone and everyone.

Good quality knife for most outdoor activities, but the sheath is a disappointment
The 4.5" blade is of good quality 440 Stainless Steel. it is nicely shaped, thick enough not to flex and comes with a well sharpened hollow grind. The blade and tang are one slab and includes a lanyard ring cut into the tang. A nicely shaped rubber-like grip is molded onto the tang and is checkered for a good grip. I like the the idea of the sheath. It is very similar to that provided with the Swedish Morakniv knives. The problems with the sheath that came with my Odenwolf is the overly snug fit of the grip into the sheath and the poor retention of the sheath on the belt. It takes two hands to get the knife out of the sheath and when the sheath it is on the belt most of the time when trying to pull the knife the sheath comes with it. That may not be a significant disadvantage for most times the blade is drawn for use, but if you want or need to draw the knife with one hand you'll need a different sheath than the one that came with my knife.
