Quick solution, safe for fish
Why did you choose this product over others?: Having a thriving pond with happy, healthy fish is incredibly rewarding, and for me, a key part of that success is Tetra Pond AquaSafe, 500ml. This product is an absolute non-negotiable whenever I'm adding fresh tap water to my pond. It's astonishing how quickly and effectively this solution works. You see, tap water here in the UK often contains chlorine and heavy metals that are perfectly fine for us, but absolutely detrimental to fish. AquaSafe instantly neutralises these harmful substances, making the water safe and hospitable for my koi and other pond inhabitants. I've noticed a significant reduction in stress symptoms in my fish after water changes, and they always seem vibrant and active. Beyond just dechlorinating, Tetra Pond AquaSafe goes the extra mile. It also adds essential vitamins and beneficial colloids to the water, which helps protect fish gills and mucous membranes, and reduces overall stress. It even promotes the growth of beneficial microorganisms, which is a huge bonus for maintaining a healthy biological balance in the pond. The 500ml bottle offers excellent value, especially given how concentrated it is. A little goes a long way, and the easy-to-follow dosage instructions mean there's no guesswork involved. For anyone with a pond, whether you're topping up due to evaporation, performing a partial water change, or setting up a new pond, Tetra Pond AquaSafe is an indispensable product. It provides peace of mind that your fish are safe and happy, and that's priceless. Highly, highly recommended!

Good for treating tap water pond
Great - I love this brand for my pond. I have a 2000L pond which is half tap water half rain water. I use this to help treat the water with my fish. It lasts very well for the price and the water stays clear

Worked Well, good price, will buy again
Had a 14"+ koi with white sores around its mouth and on top of its head, also some fish were "flashing" (scraping sides on floor and rocks) dropped in a lot of this (maybe just over the recommended amount due to pond volume calculation issues) and it has reduced sores immensely over 4-5 day period, and haven't observed any flashing recently, will probably do another treatment around now (7 days after first) to make sure. You must turn off the uv for a few days to let the potion to work, if it's hot weather try ensure something is oxygenating the water if you can. Fish and everything seem happy and better health than before treatment, hence, recommended...

Aquasafe has to be used to keep the chlorine out of the water, and protect the weed.
We have 2 ponds both substantially above ground level. The larger one is mixed (Orfe,Tench,Sarasas,Koi etc) and the other holds more or less large Koi. For many years we have had plenty of surface weed that the fish and the frogs love. They sunbathe in it,resting on the thick stems of the watercress, and it has given so much pleasure to see the fish weave in and out as it grows.Every Winter we cover the ponds and by the Spring the weed has drastically reduced in size. However by the Summer there is plenty of healthy growth and the duckweed then joins in.The Koi spawn in the weed, and we have so many youngsters of goldfish it is too much really. Sadly last year we decided to stop using dechlorinators, mainly through the expense, but the fish seemed to thrive just the same, however the weed started to disappear. It turned yellow and reduced in size quite dramatically. In fact there is no weed in the Koi pond and just a bit in the larger pond, with plenty of cress hanging from the waterfall. Well we scratched out heads and couldn't figure it out at all,no more hide and seek for the fish!!. Now it is Winter we cover the ponds and put the heaters in,and the water feels quite warm constantly, about 12 degrees. Then I noticed the weed in the old pond wasn't turning yellow anymore but staying green, even showing growth!.I then had a eureka moment!.Of course the problem was that once the ponds were covered, we stopped adding tap water. So it was the chlorine interfering with the weed. The problem was solved. Why oh why did we stop the Aquasafe?.....we said this over and over to ourselves. Now we can add Aquasafe AND put the hose in the ponds safely.Well I may as well no t bother in the pond that is denuded of weed, but the larger one will definitely have a good dose of Aquasafe to keep the precious weed safe until the Spring and the covers come off..Such a simple solution to a head scratching problem.

Good value for money
I use this on a very large fish tank, larger container much larger than most, 1 litre, which makes it good value for money. Can’t vouch for the quality yet, only just used.
