Fogarty Pure Wool Duvet - King

I stayed in a Premier Inn Hub hotel and they used wool-filled duvets and I decided to replace my old synthetic duvet with this one. I’m so glad I did as I sleep much better under it and no longer get overly hot. Some people have mentioned these types of duvet are noisy but so are feather and down ones and it’s not excessive, just a bit crackly. Others have also mentioned the smell - anyone who had had a pure wool hand knitted jumper will recognise this as the smell of the oil in the wool. I found it comforting as it reminded me of having hand knitted jumpers and it soon fades anyway. I love this product it’s well made, just the right weight and warmth, I’m so glad I bought this duvet and would definitely recommend.

I am a 29 year old female and have been suffering from night sweats for years! I have had every test going and nobody can find out what is wrong, just one of those things. Anyway, I realised my duck down duvet was probably making the problem worse seeing as I'd wake up soaked most nights. I did some research (wish I had done this YEARS ago) and found that wool duvets are the best for sufferers of this problem. I've only had this duvet for a week but not one severe sweat. It's cosy too and is no noisier or smellier than my feather duvets over the years so not sure why people are complaining so much about that! It adjusts it's temperature to you so I go to bed cool and wake up warm - but as I said, not soaked like the feather duvet I had was doing. Highly recommend this product!

When we first received this item we rather unsure due to the thickness of the quilt. Now after a few months use we are converts! My wife, being of a certain age is prone to hot flushes at night time. These have become much comfiest for both of us since using this quilt. It appears to breathe far better than a 'normal' quilt. Where we sometimes woke up with the sheet wet from her perspiration this no longer happens. Despite its thickness the quilt has kept us warm when it was cold and cool when it was warm. All in all an excellent product.

Bought this duvet as the description read said that it adjusts to your body temperature. Since I'm early menopause and experiencing hot flushes and so on, I get really hot the night from time to time. Well, I didn't think it help at all. The duvet is not as heavy or thick as other duvets so it does the same job as any other duvet. We found the duvet quite noisy. I explain; it makes a crispy sound every time you move the duvet, pull it up or when you make the bed. I don't think its worth the money as they are quite expensive to buy.

I have used a wool duvet for a number of years as I am asthmatic and my old one needed replacing. This one does not disappoint, it is fabulous. I would highly recommend choosing wool with a 100% cotton cover. I think I will need to get some wool pillows next.

Really nice and warm, and certainly more regulating than a normal duvet. It's not a miracle worker though and I still occasionally get too hot - but considering i used to sleep with only a 5 tog duvet (and this wool one is definitely warmer than that and more suitable for cold nights) it's quite impressive. There was a slight smell when opening but disappeared very quickly and it does make a slight rustle when you move, but not an issue.

I bought this quilt because my winter quilt (duck down) is too heavy and lumpy and my summer one is too thin for winter. It was advertised without a tog rating because it is supposed to be warm in winter and cool in summer. Well - the winter bit is correct! It is warm without being too warm and it is light and thin compared to the old duck down quilt. I can see it being on the bed all year round apart from an occasional trip to the dry cleaners.

Very pleased with this product. It has been reported that wool duvets are better than feather duvet for regulating your temperature. Wanted to see if this could help with my overheating at night and I can confirm this is true after using this product. Getting a good nights sleep now so happy Product is well made with strong stitching and attractive cover.
